    February 13, 2015 - FORCES researcher Saurabh Amin weighed in on NPR in a story about outdated transportation systems in Boston that have been crippled by the region's record-breaking snowfall. Dr. Amin pointed out the vulnerability of public transportation systems, such as Boston's subway, that rely on antiquated electrical motors which are known to fail during extreme weather conditions.

    January 20, 2015 - UC Berkeley graduate Jack Reilly, now at Google, has received the Milton Pikarsky Memorial Award in Science and Technology from the Council of Universities Transportation Center (CUTC). The award recognizes work he completed at Berkeley while being advised by FORCES researcher Professor Alex Bayen. Graduate students from academic transportation centers across the U.S. were nominated for the award.
