Wear and tear are essential in establishing the market value of an asset. From shutter counters on DSLRs to odometers inside cars, specific counters, that encode the degree of wear, exist on most products. But malicious modification of the information that they report was always a concern. Our work explores a solution to this problem by using the blockchain technology, a layered encoding of product attributes and identity-based cryptography. Merging such technologies is essential since blockchains facilitate the construction of a distributed database that is resilient to adversarial modifications, while identity-based signatures set room for a more convenient way to check the correctness of the reported values based on the name of the product and pseudonym of the owner alone. Nonetheless, we reinforce security by using ownership cards deployed around NFC tokens. Since odometer fraud is still a major practical concern, we discuss a practical scenario centered on vehicles, but the framework can be easily extended to many other assets.

Ra, Gyeong-Jin, Lee, Im-Yeong.  2019.  A Study on Hybrid Blockchain-based XGS (XOR Global State) Injection Technology for Efficient Contents Modification and Deletion. 2019 Sixth International Conference on Software Defined Systems (SDS). :300—305.

Blockchain is a database technology that provides the integrity and trust of the system can't make arbitrary modifications and deletions by being an append-only distributed ledger. That is, the blockchain is not a modification or deletion but a CRAB (Create-Retrieve-Append-Burn) method in which data can be read and written according to a legitimate user's access right(For example, owner private key). However, this can not delete the created data once, which causes problems such as privacy breach. In this paper, we propose an on-off block-chained Hybrid Blockchain system to separate the data and save the connection history to the blockchain. In addition, the state is changed to the distributed database separately from the ledger record, and the state is changed by generating the arbitrary injection in the XOR form, so that the history of modification / deletion of the Off Blockchain can be efficiently retrieved.

P. Jain, S. Nandanwar.  2015.  "Securing the Clustered Database Using Data Modification Technique". 2015 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Communication Networks (CICN). :1163-1166.

The new era of information communication and technology (ICT), everyone wants to store/share their Data or information in online media, like in cloud database, mobile database, grid database, drives etc. When the data is stored in online media the main problem is arises related to data is privacy because different types of hacker, attacker or crackers wants to disclose their private information as publically. Security is a continuous process of protecting the data or information from attacks. For securing that information from those kinds of unauthorized people we proposed and implement of one the technique based on the data modification concept with taking the iris database on weka tool. And this paper provides the high privacy in distributed clustered database environments.
