The growing trend toward information technology increases the amount of data travelling over the network links. The problem of detecting anomalies in data streams has increased with the growth of internet connectivity. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a new concept of computer networking that can adapt and support these growing trends. However, the centralized nature of the SDN design is challenged by the need for an efficient method for traffic monitoring against traffic anomalies caused by misconfigured devices or ongoing attacks. In this paper, we propose a new model for traffic behavior monitoring that aims to ensure trusted communication links between the network devices. The main objective of this model is to confirm that the behavior of the traffic streams matches the instructions provided by the SDN controller, which can help to increase the trust between the SDN controller and its covered infrastructure components. According to our preliminary implementation, the behavior monitoring unit is able to read all traffic information and perform a validation process that reports any mismatching traffic to the controller.
Today, as surveillance systems are widely used for indoor and outdoor monitoring applications, there is a growing interest in real-time generation detection and there are many different applications for real-time generation detection and analysis. Two-dimensional videos; It is used in multimedia content-based indexing, information acquisition, visual surveillance and distributed cross-camera surveillance systems, human tracking, traffic monitoring and similar applications. It is of great importance for the development of systems for national security by following a moving target within the scope of military applications. In this research, a more efficient solution is proposed in addition to the existing methods. Therefore, we present YOLO, a new approach to object detection for military applications.
As the traffic congestion increases on the transport network, Payable on the road to slower speeds, longer falter times, as a consequence bigger vehicular queuing, it's necessary to introduce smart way to reduce traffic. We are already edging closer to ``smart city-smart travel''. Today, a large number of smart phone applications and connected sat-naves will help get you to your destination in the quickest and easiest manner possible due to real-time data and communication from a host of sources. In present situation, traffic lights are used in each phase. The other way is to use electronic sensors and magnetic coils that detect the congestion frequency and monitor traffic, but found to be more expensive. Hence we propose a traffic control system using image processing techniques like edge detection. The vehicles will be detected using images instead of sensors. The cameras are installed alongside of the road and it will capture image sequence for every 40 seconds. The digital image processing techniques will be applied to analyse and process the image and according to that the traffic signal lights will be controlled.
Botnets are accountable for numerous cybersecurity threats. A lot of efforts have been dedicated to botnet intelligence, but botnets versatility and rapid adaptation make them particularly difficult to outwit. Prompt countermeasures require effective tools to monitor the evolution of botnets. Therefore, in this paper we analyze 5 months of traffic from different botnet families, and propose an unsupervised clustering technique to identify the different roles assigned to C&C servers. This technique allows us to classify servers with similar behavior and effectively identify bots contacting several servers. We also present a temporal analysis method that uncovers synchronously activated servers. Our results characterize 6 C&C server roles that are common to various botnet families. In the monitored traffic we found that servers are usually involved in a specific role, and we observed a significant number of C&C servers scanning the Internet.
