The rapid development of technology, makes it easier for everyone to exchange information and knowledge. Exchange information via the internet is threatened with security. Security issues, especially the issue of the confidentiality of information content and its authenticity, are vital things that must protect. Peculiarly for agencies that often hold activities that provide certificates in digital form to participants. Digital certificates are digital files conventionally used as proof of participation or a sign of appreciation owned by someone. We need a security technology for certificates as a source of information known as cryptography. This study aims to validate and authenticate digital certificates with digital signatures using SHA-256, DSA, and 3DES. The use of the SHA-256 hash function is in line with the DSA method and the implementation of 3DES which uses 2 private keys so that the security of digital certificate files can be increased. The pixel changes that appear in the MSE calculation have the lowest value of 7.4510 and the highest value of 165.0561 when the file is manipulated, it answers the security of the proposed method is maintained because the only valid file is the original file.

Raheja, Nisha, Manocha, Amit Kumar.  2021.  An Efficient Encryption-Authentication Scheme for Electrocardiogram Data using the 3DES and Water Cycle Optimization Algorithm. 2021 6th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC). :10—14.

To share the recorded ECG data with the cardiologist in Golden Hours in an efficient and secured manner via tele-cardiology may save the lives of the population residing in rural areas of a country. This paper proposes an encryption-authentication scheme for secure the ECG data. The main contribution of this work is to generate a one-time padding key and deploying an encryption algorithm in authentication mode to achieve encryption and authentication. This is achieved by a water cycle optimization algorithm that generates a completely random one-time padding key and Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) algorithm for encrypting the ECG data. To validate the accuracy of the proposed encryption authentication scheme, experimental results were performed on standard ECG data and various performance parameters were calculated for it. The results show that the proposed algorithm improves security and passes the statistical key generation test.

Data's security being important aspect of the today's internet is gaining more importance day by day. With the increase in online data exchange, transactions and payments; secure payment and secure data transfers have become an area of concern. Cryptography makes the data transmission over the internet secure by various methods, algorithms. Cryptography helps in avoiding the unauthorized people accessing the data by authentication, confidentiality, integrity and non-repudiation. In order to securely transmit the data many cryptographic algorithms are present, but the algorithm to be used should be robust, efficient, cost effective, high performance and easily deployable. Choosing an algorithm which suits the customer's requirement is an utmost important task. The proposed work discusses different symmetric key cryptographic algorithms like DES, 3DES, AES and Blowfish by considering encryption time, decryption time, entropy, memory usage, throughput, avalanche effect and energy consumption by practical implementation using java. Practical implementation of algorithms has been highlighted in proposed work considering tradeoff performance in terms of cost of various parameters rather than mere theoretical concepts. Battery consumption and avalanche effect of algorithms has been discussed. It reveals that AES performs very well in overall performance analysis among considered algorithms.

Cloud computing emerged in the last years to handle systems with large-scale services sharing between vast numbers of users. It provides enormous storage for data and computing power to users over the Internet. There are many issues with the high growth of data. Data security is one of the most important issues in cloud computing. There are many algorithms and implementation for data security. These algorithms provided various encryption methods. In this work, We present a comprehensive study between Symmetric key and Asymmetric key encryption algorithms that enhanced data security in cloud computing system. We discuss AES, DES, 3DES and Blowfish for symmetric encryption algorithms, and RSA, DSA, Diffie-Hellman and Elliptic Curve, for asymmetric encryption algorithms.

Grgić, K., Kovačevic, Z., Čik, V. K..  2017.  Performance analysis of symmetric block cryptosystems on Android platform. 2017 International Conference on Smart Systems and Technologies (SST). :155–159.

The symmetric block ciphers, which represent a core element for building cryptographic communications systems and protocols, are used in providing message confidentiality, authentication and integrity. Various limitations in hardware and software resources, especially in terminal devices used in mobile communications, affect the selection of appropriate cryptosystem and its parameters. In this paper, an implementation of three symmetric ciphers (DES, 3DES, AES) used in different operating modes are analyzed on Android platform. The cryptosystems' performance is analyzed in different scenarios using several variable parameters: cipher, key size, plaintext size and number of threads. Also, the influence of parallelization supported by multi-core CPUs on cryptosystem performance is analyzed. Finally, some conclusions about the parameter selection for optimal efficiency are given.

Cryptographic protocols and algorithms are the strength of digital era in which we are living. Unluckily, the security of many confidential information and credentials has been compromised due to ignorance of required security services. As a result, various attacks have been introduced by talented attackers and many security issues like as financial loss, violations of personal privacy, and security threats to democracy. This research paper provides the secure design and architecture of cryptographic protocols and expedites the authentication of cryptographic system. Designing and developing a secure cryptographic system is like a game in which designer or developer tries to maintain the security while attacker tries to penetrate the security features to perform successful attack.
