Video surveillance plays an important role in our times. It is a great help in reducing the crime rate, and it can also help to monitor the status of facilities. The performance of the video surveillance system is limited by human factors such as fatigue, time efficiency, and human resources. It would be beneficial for all if fully automatic video surveillance systems are employed to do the job. The automation of the video surveillance system is still not satisfying regarding many problems such as the accuracy of the detector, bandwidth consumption, storage usage, etc. This scientific paper mainly focuses on a video surveillance system using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), IoT and cloud. The system contains multi nods, each node consists of a microprocessor(Raspberry Pi) and a camera, the nodes communicate with each other using client and server architecture. The nodes can detect humans using a pretraining MobileNetv2-SSDLite model and Common Objects in Context(COCO) dataset, the captured video will stream to the main node(only one node will communicate with cloud) in order to stream the video to the cloud. Also, the main node will send an SMS notification to the security team to inform the detection of humans. The security team can check the videos captured using a mobile application or web application. Operating the Object detection model of Deep learning will be required a large amount of the computational power, for instance, the Raspberry Pi with a limited in performance for that reason we used the MobileNetv2-SSDLite model.

As the assets of people are growing, security and surveillance have become a matter of great concern today. When a criminal activity takes place, the role of the witness plays a major role in nabbing the criminal. The witness usually states the gender of the criminal, the pattern of the criminal's dress, facial features of the criminal, etc. Based on the identification marks provided by the witness, the criminal is searched for in the surveillance cameras. Surveillance cameras are ubiquitous and finding criminals from a huge volume of surveillance video frames is a tedious process. In order to automate the search process, proposed a novel smart methodology using deep learning. This method takes gender, shirt pattern, and spectacle status as input to find out the object as person from the video log. The performance of this method achieves an accuracy of 87% in identifying the person in the video frame.

There are two main contributions in this paper: Firstly, by analyzing the frequency domain features and Mel domain features, we can identify footstep events and non-footstep events. Secondly, we compared the two footstep sound signals of the same person in frequency domain under different experimental conditions, finding that almost all of their peak frequencies and trough frequencies in the main frequency band are respectively corresponding one-to-one. However for the two different people, even under the same experimental conditions, it is difficult to have the same peak frequencies and trough frequencies in the main frequency band of their footstep sound signals. Therefore, this feature of footstep sound signals can be used to identify different people.

With the rapid development of the Internet, the dark network has also been widely used in the Internet [1]. Due to the anonymity of the dark network, many illegal elements have committed illegal crimes on the dark. It is difficult for law enforcement officials to track the identity of these cyber criminals using traditional network survey techniques based on IP addresses [2]. The threat information is mainly from the dark web forum and the dark web market. In this paper, we introduce the current mainstream dark network communication system TOR and develop a visual dark web forum post association analysis system to graphically display the relationship between various forum messages and posters, and help law enforcement officers to explore deep levels. Clues to analyze crimes in the dark network.

With advances in information and communication technologies, cities are getting smarter to enhance the quality of human life. In smart cities, safety (including security) is an essential issue. In this paper, by reviewing several safe city projects, smart city facilities for the safety are presented. With considering the facilities, a design for a crime intelligence system is introduced. Then, concentrating on how to support police activities (i.e., emergency call reporting reception, patrol activity, investigation activity, and arrest activity) with immersive technologies in order to reduce a crime rate and to quickly respond to emergencies in the safe city, smart policing with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) is explained.

The traditional text classification methods usually follow this process: first, a sentence can be considered as a bag of words (BOW), then transformed into sentence feature vector which can be classified by some methods, such as maximum entropy (ME), Naive Bayes (NB), support vector machines (SVM), and so on. However, when these methods are applied to text classification, we usually can not obtain an ideal result. The most important reason is that the semantic relations between words is very important for text categorization, however, the traditional method can not capture it. Sentiment classification, as a special case of text classification, is binary classification (positive or negative). Inspired by the sentiment analysis, we use a novel deep learning-based recurrent neural networks (RNNs)model for automatic security audit of short messages from prisons, which can classify short messages(secure and non-insecure). In this paper, the feature of short messages is extracted by word2vec which captures word order information, and each sentence is mapped to a feature vector. In particular, words with similar meaning are mapped to a similar position in the vector space, and then classified by RNNs. RNNs are now widely used and the network structure of RNNs determines that it can easily process the sequence data. We preprocess short messages, extract typical features from existing security and non-security short messages via word2vec, and classify short messages through RNNs which accept a fixed-sized vector as input and produce a fixed-sized vector as output. The experimental results show that the RNNs model achieves an average 92.7% accuracy which is higher than SVM.
