Public transportation is an important system of urban passenger transport. The purpose of this article is to explore the impact of network resilience when each station of urban rail transit network was attacked by large passenger flow. Based on the capacity load model, we propose a load redistribution mechanism to simulate the passenger flow propagation after being attacked by large passenger flow. Then, taking Xi'an's rail network as an example, we study the resilience variety of the network after a node is attacked by large passenger flow. Through some attack experiments, the feasibility of the model for studying the resilience of the rail transit system is finally verified.

Differentially private location trace synthesis (DPLTS) has recently emerged as a solution to protect mobile users' privacy while enabling the analysis and sharing of their location traces. A key challenge in DPLTS is to best preserve the utility in location trace datasets, which is non-trivial considering the high dimensionality, complexity and heterogeneity of datasets, as well as the diverse types and notions of utility. In this paper, we present OptaTrace: a utility-optimized and targeted approach to DPLTS. Given a real trace dataset D, the differential privacy parameter ε controlling the strength of privacy protection, and the utility/error metric Err of interest; OptaTrace uses Bayesian optimization to optimize DPLTS such that the output error (measured in terms of given metric Err) is minimized while ε-differential privacy is satisfied. In addition, OptaTrace introduces a utility module that contains several built-in error metrics for utility benchmarking and for choosing Err, as well as a front-end web interface for accessible and interactive DPLTS service. Experiments show that OptaTrace's optimized output can yield substantial utility improvement and error reduction compared to previous work.

The use of green energy is becoming increasingly more important in today's world. Therefore, the use of electric vehicles (EVs) is proving to be the best choice for the environment in terms of public and personal transportation. As the electric vehicles are battery powered, their management becomes very important because using batteries beyond their safe operating area can be dangerous for the entire vehicle and the person onboard. To maintain the safety and reliability of the battery, it is necessary to implement the functionalities of continuous cell monitoring and evaluation, charge control and cell balancing in battery management systems (BMS). This paper presents the development of platform software required for the implementation of these functionalities. This platform is based on a digital signal processing platform which is a master-slave structure. Serial communication technology is adopted between master and slave. This system allows easier controllability and expandability.

The information security of urban rail transit system faces great challenges. As a subsystem of the subway, BAS is short for Building Automation System, which is used to monitor and manage subway equipment and environment, also facing the same problem. Based on the characteristics of BAS, this paper designed a targeted intrusion detection expert system. This paper focuses on the design of knowledge base and the inference engine of intrusion detection system based on expert system. This study laid the foundation for the research on information security of the entire rail transit system.

Emerging cyber-physical systems (CPS) often require collecting end users' data to support data-informed decision making processes. There has been a long-standing argument as to the tradeoff between privacy and data utility. In this paper, we adopt a multiparametric programming approach to rigorously study conditions under which data utility has to be sacrificed to protect privacy and situations where free-lunch privacy can be achieved, i.e., data can be concealed without hurting the optimality of the decision making underlying the CPS. We formalize the concept of free-lunch privacy, and establish various results on its existence, geometry, as well as efficient computation methods. We propose the free-lunch privacy mechanism, which is a pragmatic mechanism that exploits free-lunch privacy if it exists with the constant guarantee of optimal usage of data. We study the resilience of this mechanism against attacks that attempt to infer the parameter of a user's data generating process. We close the paper by a case study on occupancy-adaptive smart home temperature control to demonstrate the efficacy of the mechanism.

Summary form only given. Strong light-matter coupling has been recently successfully explored in the GHz and THz [1] range with on-chip platforms. New and intriguing quantum optical phenomena have been predicted in the ultrastrong coupling regime [2], when the coupling strength Ω becomes comparable to the unperturbed frequency of the system ω. We recently proposed a new experimental platform where we couple the inter-Landau level transition of an high-mobility 2DEG to the highly subwavelength photonic mode of an LC meta-atom [3] showing very large Ω/ωc = 0.87. Our system benefits from the collective enhancement of the light-matter coupling which comes from the scaling of the coupling Ω ∝ √n, were n is the number of optically active electrons. In our previous experiments [3] and in literature [4] this number varies from 104-103 electrons per meta-atom. We now engineer a new cavity, resonant at 290 GHz, with an extremely reduced effective mode surface Seff = 4 × 10-14 m2 (FE simulations, CST), yielding large field enhancements above 1500 and allowing to enter the few (\textbackslashtextless;100) electron regime. It consist of a complementary metasurface with two very sharp metallic tips separated by a 60 nm gap (Fig.1(a, b)) on top of a single triangular quantum well. THz-TDS transmission experiments as a function of the applied magnetic field reveal strong anticrossing of the cavity mode with linear cyclotron dispersion. Measurements for arrays of only 12 cavities are reported in Fig.1(c). On the top horizontal axis we report the number of electrons occupying the topmost Landau level as a function of the magnetic field. At the anticrossing field of B=0.73 T we measure approximately 60 electrons ultra strongly coupled (Ω/ω- \textbackslashtextbar\textbackslashtextbar
