We have proposed the Media Access Control method based on the Synchronization Phenomena of coupled oscillators (SP-MAC) to improve a total throughput of wireless terminals connected to a Access Point. SP-MAC can avoid the collision of data frames that occur by applying Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) based on IEEE 802.11 in Wireless local area networks (WLAN). Furthermore, a new throughput guarantee control method based on SP-MAC has been proposed. This method enable each terminal not only to avoid the collision of frames but also to obtain the requested throughput by adjusting the parameters of SP-MAC. In this paper, we propose a new throughput control method that realizes the fairness among groups of terminals that use the different TCP versions, by taking the advantage of our method that is able to change acquired throughput by adjusting parameters. Moreover, we confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method by the simulation evaluation.
With the development of computer technology and the popularization of network, network brings great convenience to colleagues and risks to people from all walks of life all over the world. The data in the network world is growing explosively. Various kinds of intrusions are emerging in an endless stream. The means of network intrusion are becoming more and more complex. The intrusions occur at any time and the security threats become more and more serious. Defense alone cannot meet the needs of system security. It is also necessary to monitor the behavior of users in the network at any time and detect new intrusions that may occur at any time. This will not only make people's normal network needs cannot be guaranteed, but also face great network risks. So that people not only rely on defensive means to protect network security, this paper explores block chain network intrusion detection system. Firstly, the characteristics of block chain are briefly introduced, and the challenges of block chain network intrusion security and privacy are proposed. Secondly, the intrusion detection system of WLAN is designed experimentally. Finally, the conclusion analysis of block chain network intrusion detection system is discussed.
Mobile ad-hoc networks are a new field in networking because it works as an autonomous network. Application of mobile ad-hoc networks are increasing day by day in recent year now a days. So it important is increasing to provide suitable routing protocol and security from attacker. Mobile ad-hoc network now a days faces many problems such as small bandwidth, energy, security, limited computational and high mobility. The main problem in mobile ad-hoc networks is that wireless networks, Infrastructure wireless networks have larger bandwidth, larger memory, power backup and different routing protocol easily applies. But in case of mobile ad-hoc networks some of these application failed due to mobility and small power backup so it is required such type of routing protocol which is take small energy during the transfer of packet. So we see that still there are many challenging works in mobile ad-hoc networks remained and to research in this area related to routing protocol, security issues, solving energy problem and many more which is feasible to it. Our research most probably will be dedicated to Authentication in mobile ad-hoc network.
Distributed mesh sensor networks provide cost-effective communications for deployment in various smart grid domains, such as home area networks (HAN), neighborhood area networks (NAN), and substation/plant-generation local area networks. This paper introduces a dynamically updating key distribution strategy to enhance mesh network security against cyber attack. The scheme has been applied to two security protocols known as simultaneous authentication of equals (SAE) and efficient mesh security association (EMSA). Since both protocols utilize 4-way handshaking, we propose a Merkle-tree based handshaking scheme, which is capable of improving the resiliency of the network in a situation where an intruder carries a denial of service attack. Finally, by developing a denial of service attack model, we can then evaluate the security of the proposed schemes against cyber attack, as well as network performance in terms of delay and overhead.
