The Domain Name System (DNS) is critical to Internet communications. EDNS Client Subnet (ECS), a DNS extension, allows recursive resolvers to include client subnet information in DNS queries to improve CDN end-user mapping, extending the visibility of client information to a broader range. Major content delivery network (CDN) vendors, content providers (CP), and public DNS service providers (PDNS) are accelerating their IPv6 infrastructure development. With the increasing deployment of IPv6-enabled services and DNS being the most foundational system of the Internet, it becomes important to analyze the behavioral and privacy status of IPv6 resolvers. However, there is a lack of research on ECS for IPv6 DNS resolvers. In this paper, we study the ECS deployment and compliance status of IPv6 resolvers. Our measurement shows that 11.12% IPv6 open resolvers implement ECS. We discuss abnormal noncompliant scenarios that exist in both IPv6 and IPv4 that raise privacy and performance issues. Additionally, we measured if the sacrifice of clients’ privacy can enhance IPv6 CDN performance. We find that in some cases ECS helps end-user mapping but with an unnecessary privacy loss. And even worse, the exposure of client address information can sometimes backfire, which deserves attention from both Internet users and PDNSes.

N, Joshi Padma, Ravishankar, N., Raju, M.B., Vyuha, N. Ch. Sai.  2021.  Secure Software Immune Receptors from SQL Injection and Cross Site Scripting Attacks in Content Delivery Network Web Applications. 2021 9th International Conference on Reliability, Infocom Technologies and Optimization (Trends and Future Directions) (ICRITO). :1–5.
In our proposed work the web security has been enhanced using additional security code and an enhanced frame work. Administrator of site is required to specify the security code for particular date and time. On user end user would be capable to login and view authentic code allotted to them during particular time slot. This work would be better in comparison of tradition researches in order to prevent sql injection attack and cross script because proposed work is not just considering the security, it is also focusing on the performance of security system. This system is considering the lot of security dimensions. But in previous system there was focus either on sql injection or cross script. Proposed research is providing versatile security and is available with low time consumption with less probability of unauthentic access.

Rahman, Md. Mahmudur, Roy, Shanto, Yousuf, Mohammad Abu.  2019.  DDoS Mitigation and Intrusion Prevention in Content Delivery Networks using Distributed Virtual Honeypots. 2019 1st International Conference on Advances in Science, Engineering and Robotics Technology (ICASERT). :1–6.

Content Delivery Networks(CDN) is a standout amongst the most encouraging innovations that upgrade performance for its clients' websites by diverting web demands from browsers to topographically dispersed CDN surrogate nodes. However, due to the variable nature of CDN, it suffers from various security and resource allocation issues. The most common attack which is used to bring down a whole network as well as CDN without even finding a loophole in the security is DDoS. In this proposal, we proposed a distributed virtual honeypot model for diminishing DDoS attacks and prevent intrusion in securing CDN. Honeypots are specially utilized to imitate the primary server with the goal that the attack is alleviated to the fake rather than the main server. Our proposed layer based model utilizes honeypot to be more effective reducing the cost of the system as well as maintaining the smooth delivery in geographically dispersed servers without performance degradation.
