Rajan, Dhanya M, Sathya Priya, S.  2022.  DDoS mitigation techniques in IoT: A Survey. 2022 International Conference on IoT and Blockchain Technology (ICIBT). :1–7.
Cities are becoming increasingly smart as the Internet of Things (IoT) proliferates. With IoT devices interconnected, smart cities can offer novel and ubiquitous services as well as automate many of our daily lives (e.g., smart health, smart home). The abundance in the number of IoT devices leads to divergent types of security threats as well. One of such important attacks is the Distributed Denial of Service attack(DDoS). DDoS attacks have become increasingly common in the internet of things because of the rapid growth of insecure devices. These attacks slow down legitimate network requests. Although DDoS attacks were first reported in 1996, the sophistication of these attacks has increased significantly. In mid-August 2020, a 2 Terabytes per second(TBps) attack targeting critical infrastructure, such as finance, was reported. In the next two years, it is predicted that this number will double to 15 million attacks. Blockchain technology, whose development dates back to the advent of the internet, has become one of the most important advancements to come along since that time. Several applications can use this technology to secure exchanges. Using blockchain to mitigate DDoS attacks is discussed in this survey paper in diverse domains to date. Its purpose is to expose the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of the different approaches to DDoS mitigation. As a research and development platform for DDoS mitigation, this paper will act as a central hub for a more comprehensive understanding of these approaches.

With the rapid innovation of cloud computing technologies, which has enhanced the application of the Internet of Things (IoT), smart health (s-health) is expected to enhance the quality of the healthcare system. However, s-health records (SHRs) outsourcing, storage, and sharing via a cloud server must be protected and users attribute privacy issues from the public domain. Ciphertext policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) is the cryptographic primitive which is promising to provide fine-grained access control in the cloud environment. However, the direct application of traditional CP-ABE has brought a lot of security issues like attributes' privacy violations and vulnerability in the future by potential powerful attackers like side-channel and cold-bot attacks. To solve these problems, a lot of CP-ABE schemes have been proposed but none of them concurrently support partially policy-hidden and leakage resilience. Hence, we propose a new Smart Health Records Sharing Scheme that will be based on Partially Policy-Hidden CP-ABE with Leakage Resilience which is resilient to bound leakage from each of many secret keys per user, as well as many master keys, and ensure attribute privacy. Our scheme hides attribute values of users in both secret key and ciphertext which contain sensitive information in the cloud environment and are fully secure in the standard model under the static assumptions.

Deepa, N R, Sivamangai, N M.  2022.  A State-Of-Art Model of Encrypting Medical Image Using DNA Cryptography and Hybrid Chaos Map - 2d Zaslavaski Map: Review. 2022 6th International Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems (ICDCS). :190–195.

E-health, smart health and telemedicine are examples of sophisticated healthcare systems. For end-to-end communication, these systems rely on digital medical information. Although this digitizing saves much time, it is open source. As a result, hackers could potentially manipulate the digital medical image as it is being transmitted. It is harder to diagnose an actual disease from a modified digital medical image in medical diagnostics. As a result, ensuring the security and confidentiality of clinical images, as well as reducing the computing time of encryption algorithms, appear to be critical problems for research groups. Conventional approaches are insufficient to ensure high-level medical image security. So this review paper focuses on depicting advanced methods like DNA cryptography and Chaotic Map as advanced techniques that could potentially help in encrypting the digital image at an effective level. This review acknowledges the key accomplishments expressed in the encrypting measures and their success indicators of qualitative and quantitative measurement. This research study also explores the key findings and reasons for finding the lessons learned as a roadmap for impending findings.

Stauffer, Jake, Zhang, Qingxue.  2021.  s2Cloud: A Novel Cloud System for Mobile Health Big Data Management. 2021 IEEE International Conferences on Internet of Things (iThings) and IEEE Green Computing & Communications (GreenCom) and IEEE Cyber, Physical & Social Computing (CPSCom) and IEEE Smart Data (SmartData) and IEEE Congress on Cybermatics (Cybermatics). :380–383.
The era of big data continues to progress, and many new practices and applications are being advanced. One such application is big data in healthcare. In this application, big data, which includes patient information and measurements, must be transmitted and managed in smart and secure ways. In this study, we propose a novel big data cloud system, s2Cloud, standing for Smart and Secure Cloud. s2Cloud can enable health care systems to improve patient monitoring and help doctors gain crucial insights into their patients' health. This system provides an interactive website that allows doctors to effectively manage patients and patient records. Furthermore, both real-time and historical functions for big data management are supported. These functions provide visualizations of patient measurements and also allow for historic data retrieval so further analysis can be conducted. The security is achieved by protecting access and transmission of data via sign up and log in portals. Overall, the proposed s2Cloud system can effectively manage healthcare big data applications. This study will also help to advance other big data applications such as smart home and smart world big data practices.

Calvo, Miguel, Beltrán, Marta.  2021.  Remote Attestation as a Service for Edge-Enabled IoT. 2021 IEEE International Conference on Services Computing (SCC). :329–339.
The Internet of Things integrates multiple hardware appliances from large cloud data centres to constrained devices embedded within the physical reality, from multiple vendors and providers, under the same infrastructure. These appliances are subject to different restrictions, have different available resources and show different risk profiles and vulnerabilities. In these scenarios, remote attestation mechanisms are essential, enabling the verification of a distant appliance’s internal state before allowing it to access sensitive data or execute critical workloads. This work proposes a new attestation approach based on a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), devoted to performing Remote Attestation as a Service (RAaaS) while guaranteeing essential properties such as flexibility, generality, domain separation and authorized initiation. The proposed solution can prove both edge devices and IoT devices reliability to services running on cloud data centres. Furthermore, the first prototype of this service has been validated and evaluated via a real use case.
