AbstractSystem safety and cyber security have a great effect on the availability of devices that are interconnected. With the rising interconnection of critical infrastructures new risks occur, which have to be detected and warded. Therefore, attack vectors are defined to determine deviations to the nominal values of a cyber-physical system in this paper. Through an elaborated cyber security concept, the tasks of a simple motor protecting switch and additional tasks to detect cyber-attacks can be implemented. The simulative result of an exemplary overvoltage shows the impact on the RMS and phase voltages of a monitored drive.
