Using Tribal Diversity and Data Utilization to Drive Innovative Partnerships
KEYNOTE SUMMARY:
Danae Wilson will present her work on enabling innovative applications of smart and connected technologies for the Nez Perce Reservation. Her keynote will explore disruptive data collection on Tribal lands and unique unrelated uses for data. How partnerships can develop opportunities for community members to engage and develop skills for career opportunities. What processes are in place for establishing agreement with Tribes and how to engage in those potential partnerships.
BIO:
Danae Wilson is an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe; she lives and works on the Nez Perce Reservation in Idaho. Danae is the Director of the Department of Technology for the Tribe. Danae has been doing advocacy for broadband in Indian Country for many years and sits on many regional and national committees representing underserved communities.
