A new solicitation, Resilient Interdependent Infrastructure Processes and Systems (RIPS), seeks to enhance the understanding and design of interdependent critical infrastructure systems (ICIs) and processes that provide essential goods and services despite disruptions and failures from any cause, natural, technological, or malicious; to foster an interdisciplinary research community that discovers new knowledge for the design and operation of infrastructures as processes and services; and to create the knowledge for innovation in ICIs to advance society with new goods and services. See http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2014/nsf14524/nsf14524.htm for more details.

Please note that NSF will hold an informational webinar on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 1pm EST to discuss the RIPS program and answer questions about this solicitation. More details about this webinar will be posted at http://www.nsf.gov/eng/efri as they become available.
