A number of exciting technology advancements are being made in the new architectures and applications for embedded multi-core systems, such as network-on-chip, optical-electrical network, non-volatile memory architectures, fault-tolerant and parallel applications, low-power designs, etc. These emerging techniques elevate embedded systems to a whole new level. This workshop provides a platform to present the important findings in these techniques, discuss the new opportunities they offered to existing systems, and address the key challenges they pose to next-generation embedded computing systems. It will overview the emerging techniques that will become practical for industrial implementations in the coming decade. The workshop is interested but not limited to the following topics:

- Heterogeneous/homogeneous multi-core systems
- Optical/electrical on-chip networks
- On-chip memory organizations
- Low-power systems
- Mobile computing systems
- Pervasive/adaptive/reliable application development
- High-performance and/or energy-efficient application development
- Model-based approach for application development
- Performance evaluation techniques for embedded systems
- Emerging architectures and/or applications for embedded systems

Submission Instructions:
Prospective authors should submit their work in no more than 8 pages using IEEE conference style (two-column, single-space, 10pt). All submitted papers will be thoroughly reviewed on the basis of technical quality, relevance, significance and clarity. Accepted papers WILL BE INCLUDED in the IEEE RTCSA 2014 proceedings. Authors of accepted contributions are required to present their work at the workshop. Papers should be submitted electronically in the PDF format.
