As a software intern in our research group, you will be part of a team of experts that has extensive real-world experience in solving challenges pertaining to the performance, scale, and security of the Industrial Internet of Things. Responsibilities
Candidates must be able to work from our headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA on a full-time basis for a duration of at least 3 months. Interns will work on research projects related to the Object Management Group's (OMG) Data Distribution Service for Real-Time Systems (DDS) standard. Specific research area is helping to define and evaluate advancements to support security for the Medical Device Internet of Things. You will work closely with leading experts in distributed systems security and the leading US medical institution driving this vision. Very few will have the opportunity to impact so many.If successful, it will lead to innovations that will secure embedded medical devices worldwide.

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, computer networking, and security
- Experienced programmer (e.g. through internships, university projects, open source)
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
