The Department of Computer Science at Leicester is advertising for two new positions, 

  • a Teaching Fellow with a mix of teaching, project supervision, industry consultancy and training and
  • a Research and Enterprise Fellow focusing on industry consultancy, research and training, and supporting students’ enterprise activities 

The latter is fixed-term for one year, extension subject to an evaluation of the effectiveness of the role. Closing date for both roles is the 5th October. Interviews are expected to take place during the last week of October.

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

In the Research and Enterprise role you will undertake enterprise activities, such as consultancy, professional training and contract research.  You will further students’ employability by engaging with external partners to acquire projects and placements and supervise projects.  You will also support the development of research impact, using industry contacts to explore opportunities for and help the transition of research into practice.   Some of these responsibilities will be carried out in the context of a student IT consultancy company, which will provide a focus for enterprise and employability in the future.
