  • Development of a Community of Practice for the Science of Security - We will develop methods to assess whether Lablet activities are contributing to the development of a sustainable community of practice for the SoS field (McGowen, Wilson, & Wright).

ACCOMPLISHMENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • 100% of participants at the 2015 NCSU SoS Community meeting reported that they were quite satisfied or very satisfied with the effectiveness (content and delivery) of the community meeting. 100% of the Lablet research projects presented at the meeting had at least one community participant indicate that it was relevant to their organization’s needs and interests.  This broad level of interest indicates a very strong endorsement for the Lablet’s research portfolio from the cybersecurity community.
  • Lablet students continue to receive methodology feedback on their work via methodology seminars.  Students are encouraged to use this feedback to improve their research methodology.
  • Development of customized bibliometrics for Lablet research continues to advance.  New quantitative indicators of scope and selectivity are being added to expert based metrics.
