Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for your proposed presentation or demonstration in one of the topic areas listed below. Submitted abstracts should enhance the discussion of the various initiatives and/or technologies supporting the Safe and Secure Systems and Software Symposium (S5). Only unlimited distribution and non-proprietary abstracts will be considered for acceptance.

IMPORTANT: Registration is not yet open and the S5 hotel room block is not yet set-up. That information will be sent out and reflected on the S5 website within the next few weeks.

Critical Dates: Due by:

  • Abstract Submission - 31 May 2016
  • Abstract Notification - 10 June 2016
  • Final Presentation - 05 July 2016
  • S5 Event 12-14 July 2016

Session Topics are as follows "These Session Topics have been approved for public release. Case Number 88ABW-2016-2369":

  1. Assurance Arguments for Autonomous Systems
  2. Research into Formalization, Analysis, and Validation of Requirements, Architectures, and Models
  3. Application of formal design and analysis techniques and tools to a challenge problem for the certification of highly complex or autonomous systems
  4. Tool Demonstration of Verification and Validation Approaches
  5. Open System Architecture Evidence-Based Design and Implementation
  6. Verification and Validation of Human-Machine Interfaces and Protocols
  7. Cumulative Evidence through RDT&E, DT, & OT
  8. Run Time Assurance for highly complex or autonomous systems
  9. Other critical technologies and/or certification issues in safety and security applications

The free 2016 S5 event has not yet been officially approved and registration will be open within the next few weeks.
