University of Virginia seeks CPS candidates: 2 faculty positions, 2 research scientists, and 15 grad students
Dear Colleagues,
The University of Virginia has begun a multi-million dollar initiative to create a collaborative world-class center of research excellence in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Last year, SEAS announced an 8-faculty cluster hire in CPS and construction will begin this year on a new, collaborative space called the Link Lab. The Link Lab is a cross-departmental research laboratory focused on CPS research with over a dozen faculty members from across 5 departments including Computer Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Systems and Information Engineering. As part of this initiative, we are seeking 2 new tenured/tenure track faculty members in CPS and Smart Cities this year. Additionally, we seek 2 new research scientists and at least 15 new graduate students who are excited to address the most critical problems at the intersection of the cyber and physical worlds. The University of Virginia is one of the top rated public universities and Charlottesville is frequently cited as one of the best cities in which to live and work. More information about the town, the school, faculty benefits, and other topics can be found at http://uvacharge.virginia.edu/guide.html. Furthermore, the university is an active dual career employer, is an NSF ADVANCE institution (UVa CHARGE), and is committed to enhancing the diversity of our community of scholars and citizens. More information about the job openings including instructions on how to apply can be found on the Link Lab webpage: http://linklab.virginia.edu/
Thank you for your assistance in getting the word out about this exciting initiative happening at the University of Virginia.
Best Regards,
Kamin Whitehouse
