The Department of Aerospace Engineering at The University of Michigan invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in all areas of Aerospace Engineering. We are seeking exceptional candidates who will develop a world-class research program and innovative educational experiences for our students. This is a broad search and, while we will consider all levels, preference will be given to junior-level applicants.

The Aerospace Engineering Department completed its 100 th anniversary in 2014 and our undergraduate and graduate programs continue to be among the very best in our nation. Research interests of the faculty cover a broad spectrum of topics including high-performance multiphysics computational sciences, aerostructures, smart structures and materials, flight dynamics and control, avionics and software systems, multidisciplinary design optimization, propulsion, combustion, and sustainable energy with a mix of air and space applications. More information about the department can be found at aerospace.engin.umich.edu. Applicants should have earned a doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the Department's mission, including the development of a strong and relevant externally funded research program, the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses, and the supervision of graduate students.
