Time: 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET
Presenters: USDOT, Scoop, Metropia

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) will be hosting a webinar which will discuss incentive-based approaches within the MOD space. This webinar will allow interested stakeholders to learn about incentive-based approaches to MOD platforms and services.

Participants will hear from Scoop and Metropia regarding their work with incentive-based approaches to MOD.

Technologies, like smartphones and on-demand transportation options, have disrupted transportation models in many cities across the world. However, the number of users utilizing MOD for commuting is still rather small. Many employers have used incentives - tax-deductible transit passes, carpool reimbursement, etc. - to discourage single-occupant vehicle commuting. Our speakers have been cooperating with employers and transit agencies that offer incentives to users, while utilizing advanced technologies to aggregate commutes and reduce congestion. Our speakers will discuss their experiences in deploying incentive-based approaches to MOD.

This webinar is sponsored by the USDOT Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) and is free and open to the public.
