In this paper, we extend the existing classification of signature models by Cao. To do so, we present a new signature classification framework and migrate the original classification to build an easily extendable faceted signature classification. We propose 20 new properties, 7 property families, and 1 signature classification type. With our classification, theoretically, up to 11 541 420 signature classes can be built, which should cover almost all existing signature schemes.
With the economic development, the number of cars is increasing, and the traffic accidents and congestion problems that follow will not be underestimated. The concept of the Internet of Vehicles is becoming popular, and demand for intelligent traffic is growing. In this paper, the warning scheme we proposed aims to solve the traffic problems. Using intelligent terminals, it is faster and more convenient to obtain driving behaviors and road condition information. The application of blockchain technology can spread information to other vehicles for sharing without third-party certification. Group signature-based authentication protocol guarantees privacy and security while ensuring identity traceability. In experiments and simulations, the recognition accuracy of driving behavior can reach up to 94.90%. The use of blockchain provides secure, distributed, and autonomous features for the solution. Compared with the traditional signature method, the group signature-based authentication time varies less with the increase of the number of vehicles, and the communication time is more stable.
We present a group signature scheme, based on the hardness of lattice problems, whose outputs are more than an order of magnitude smaller than the currently most efficient schemes in the literature. Since lattice-based schemes are also usually non-trivial to efficiently implement, we additionally provide the first experimental implementation of lattice-based group signatures demonstrating that our construction is indeed practical – all operations take less than half a second on a standard laptop. A key component of our construction is a new zero-knowledge proof system for proving that a committed value belongs to a particular set of small size. The sets for which our proofs are applicable are exactly those that contain elements that remain stable under Galois automorphisms of the underlying cyclotomic number field of our lattice-based protocol. We believe that these proofs will find applications in other settings as well. The motivation of the new zero-knowledge proof in our construction is to allow the efficient use of the selectively-secure signature scheme (i.e. a signature scheme in which the adversary declares the forgery message before seeing the public key) of Agrawal et al. (Eurocrypt 2010) in constructions of lattice-based group signatures and other privacy protocols. For selectively-secure schemes to be meaningfully converted to standard signature schemes, it is crucial that the size of the message space is not too large. Using our zero-knowledge proofs, we can strategically pick small sets for which we can provide efficient zero-knowledge proofs of membership.
Security issues in vehicular communication have become a huge concern to safeguard increasing applications. A group signature is one of the popular authentication approaches for VANETs (Vehicular ad hoc networks) which can be implemented to secure the vehicular communication. However, securely distributing group keys to fast-moving vehicular nodes is still a challenging problem. In this paper, we propose an efficient key management protocol for group signature based authentication, where a group is extended to a domain with multiple road side units. Our scheme not only provides a secure way to deliver group keys to vehicular nodes, but also ensures security features. The experiment results show that our key distribution scheme is a scalable, efficient and secure solution to vehicular networking.
Cloud computing, often referred to as simply “the cloud,” is the delivery of on-demand computing resources; everything from applications to data centers over the Internet. Cloud is used not only for storing data, but also the stored data can be shared by multiple users. Due to this, the integrity of cloud data is subject to doubt. Every time it is not possible for user to download all data and verify integrity, so proposed system contain Third Party Auditor (TPA) to verify the integrity of shared data. During auditing, the shared data is kept private from public verifiers, who are able to verify shared data integrity without downloading or retrieving the entire data file. Group signature is used to preserve identity privacy of group members from third party auditor. Privacy preserving is done to ensure that the TPA cannot derive user's data content from the information collected during the auditing process.
Cloud computing is one of the emerging computing technology where costs are directly proportional to usage and demand. The advantages of this technology are the reasons of security and privacy problems. The data belongs to the users are stored in some cloud servers which is not under their own control. So the cloud services are required to authenticate the user. In general, most of the cloud authentication algorithms do not provide anonymity of the users. The cloud provider can track the users easily. The privacy and authenticity are two critical issues of cloud security. In this paper, we propose a secure anonymous authentication method for cloud services using identity based group signature which allows the cloud users to prove that they have privilege to access the data without revealing their identities.
Recently, cloud computing has been spotlighted as a new paradigm of database management system. In this environment, databases are outsourced and deployed on a service provider in order to reduce cost for data storage and maintenance. However, the service provider might be untrusted so that the two issues of data security, including data confidentiality and query result integrity, become major concerns for users. Existing bucket-based data authentication methods have problem that the original spatial data distribution can be disclosed from data authentication index due to the unsophisticated data grouping strategies. In addition, the transmission overhead of verification object is high. In this paper, we propose a privacy-aware query authentication which guarantees data confidentiality and query result integrity for users. A periodic function-based data grouping scheme is designed to privately partition a spatial database into small groups for generating a signature of each group. The group signature is used to check the correctness and completeness of outsourced data when answering a range query to users. Through performance evaluation, it is shown that proposed method outperforms the existing method in terms of range query processing time up to 3 times.

Nowadays, the design of a secure access authentication protocol in heterogeneous networks achieving seamless roaming across radio access technologies for mobile users (MUs) is a major technical challenge. This paper proposes a Distributed Anonymous Authentication (DAA) protocol to resolve the problems of heavy signaling overheads and long signaling delay when authentication is executed in a centralized manner. By applying MUs and point of attachments (PoAs) as group members, the adopted group signature algorithms provide identity verification directly without sharing secrets in advance, which significantly reduces signaling overheads. Moreover, MUs sign messages on behalf of the group, so that anonymity and unlinkability against PoAs are provided and thus privacy is preserved. Performance analysis confirm the advantages of DAA over existing solutions.
