Wu, Ya Guang, Yan, Wen Hao, Wang, Jin Zhi.  2021.  Real Identity Based Access Control Technology under Zero Trust Architecture. 2021 International Conference on Wireless Communications and Smart Grid (ICWCSG). :18–22.
With the rapid development and application of emerging information technology, the traditional network security architecture is more and more difficult to support flexible dynamic and a wider range of business data access requirements. Zero trust technology can truly realize the aggregation of security and business by building an end-to-end dynamic new boundary based on identity, which puts forward a new direction for the upgrade and evolution of enterprise network security architecture. This paper mainly includes access control and identity authentication management functions. The goal of access control system is to ensure that legitimate and secure users can use the system normally, and then protect the security of enterprise network and server. The functions of the access control system include identifying the user's identity (legitimacy), evaluating the security characteristics (Security) of the user's machine, and taking corresponding response strategies.

Sharma, P., Nair, J., Singh, R..  2020.  Adaptive Flow-Level Scheduling for the IoT MAC. 2020 International Conference on COMmunication Systems NETworkS (COMSNETS). :515—518.

Over the past decade, distributed CSMA, which forms the basis for WiFi, has been deployed ubiquitously to provide seamless and high-speed mobile internet access. However, distributed CSMA might not be ideal for future IoT/M2M applications, where the density of connected devices/sensors/controllers is expected to be orders of magnitude higher than that in present wireless networks. In such high-density networks, the overhead associated with completely distributed MAC protocols will become a bottleneck. Moreover, IoT communications are likely to have strict QoS requirements, for which the `best-effort' scheduling by present WiFi networks may be unsuitable. This calls for a clean-slate redesign of the wireless MAC taking into account the requirements for future IoT/M2M networks. In this paper, we propose a reservation-based (for minimal overhead) wireless MAC designed specifically with IoT/M2M applications in mind.

Serving heterogeneous traffic demand requires efficient resource utilization to deliver the promises of 5G wireless network towards enhanced mobile broadband, massive machine type communication and ultra-reliable low-latency communication. In this paper, an integrated user application-specific demand characteristics as well as network characteristics evaluation based online slice allocation model for 5G wireless network is proposed. Such characteristics include, available bandwidth, power, quality of service demand, service priority, security sensitivity, network load, predictive load etc. A degree of intra-slice resource sharing elasticity has been considered based on their availability. The availability has been assessed based on the current availability as well as forecasted availability. On the basis of application characteristics, an admission control strategy has been proposed. An interactive AMF (Access and Mobility Function)- RAN (Radio Access Network) information exchange has been assumed. A cost function has been derived to quantify resource allocation decision metric that is valid for both static and dynamic nature of user and network characteristics. A dynamic intra-slice decision boundary estimation model has been proposed. A set of analytical comparative results have been attained in comparison to the results available in the literature. The results suggest the proposed resource allocation framework performance is superior to the existing results in the context of network utility, mean delay and network grade of service, while providing similar throughput. The superiority reported is due to soft nature of the decision metric while reconfiguring slice resource block-size and boundaries.

With the developing understanding of Information Security and digital assets, IT technology has put on tremendous importance of network admission control (NAC). In NAC architecture, admission decisions and resource reservations are taken at edge devices, rather than resources or individual routers within the network. The NAC architecture enables resilient resource reservation, maintaining reservations even after failures and intra-domain rerouting. Admission Control Networks destiny is based on IP networks through its Security and Quality of Service (QoS) demands for real time multimedia application via advance resource reservation techniques. To achieve Security & QoS demands, in real time performance networks, admission control algorithm decides whether the new traffic flow can be admitted to the network or not. Secure allocation of Peer for multimedia traffic flows with required performance is a great challenge in resource reservation schemes. In this paper, we have proposed our model for VoIP networks in order to achieve security services along with QoS, where admission control decisions are taken place at edge routers. We have analyzed and argued that the measurement based admission control should be done at edge routers which employs on-demand probing parallel from both edge routers to secure the source and destination nodes respectively. In order to achieve Security and QoS for a new call, we choose various probe packet sizes for voice and video calls respectively. Similarly a technique is adopted to attain a security allocation approach for selecting an admission control threshold by proposing our admission control algorithm. All results are tested on NS2 based simulation to evalualate the network performance of edge router based upon network admission control in VoIP traffic.

Mendes, L.D.P., Rodrigues, J.J.P.C., Lloret, J., Sendra, S..  2014.  Cross-Layer Dynamic Admission Control for Cloud-Based Multimedia Sensor Networks. Systems Journal, IEEE. 8:235-246.

Cloud-based communications system is now widely used in many application fields such as medicine, security, environment protection, etc. Its use is being extended to the most demanding services like multimedia delivery. However, there are a lot of constraints when cloud-based sensor networks use the standard IEEE 802.15.3 or IEEE 802.15.4 technologies. This paper proposes a channel characterization scheme combined to a cross-layer admission control in dynamic cloud-based multimedia sensor networks to share the network resources among any two nodes. The analysis shows the behavior of two nodes using different network access technologies and the channel effects for each technology. Moreover, the existence of optimal node arrival rates in order to improve the usage of dynamic admission control when network resources are used is also shown. An extensive simulation study was performed to evaluate and validate the efficiency of the proposed dynamic admission control for cloud-based multimedia sensor networks.
