Encryption defined as change information process (which called plaintext) into an unreadable secret format (which called ciphertext). This ciphertext could not be easily understood by somebody except authorized parson. Decryption is the process to converting ciphertext back into plaintext. Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) based information ciphering techniques recently used in large number of encryption algorithms. DNA used as data carrier and the modern biological technology is used as implementation tool. New encryption algorithm based on DNA is proposed in this paper. The suggested approach consists of three steps (conventional, stream cipher and DNA) to get high security levels. The character was replaced by shifting depend character location in conventional step, convert to ASCII and AddRoundKey was used in stream cipher step. The result from second step converted to DNA then applying AddRoundKey with DNA key. The evaluation performance results proved that the proposed algorithm cipher the important data with high security levels.

Sajisha, K. S., Mathew, S..  2017.  An encryption based on DNA cryptography and steganography. 2017 International conference of Electronics, Communication and Aerospace Technology (ICECA). 2:162–167.

The data security is a challenging issue nowadays with the increase of information capacity and its transmission rate. The most common and widely used techniques in the data security fields are cryptography and steganography. The combination of cryptography and steganography methods provides more security to the data. Now, DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is explored as a new carrier for data security since it achieves maximum protection and powerful security with high capacity and low modification rate. A new data security method can be developed by taking the advantages of DNA based AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) cryptography and DNA steganography. This new technique will provide multilayer security to the secret message. Here the secret message is first encoded to DNA bases then DNA based AES algorithm is applied to it. Finally the encrypted DNA will be concealed in another DNA sequence. This hybrid technique provides triple layer security to the secret message.

Encryption and decryption of data in an efficient manner is one of the challenging aspects of modern computer science. This paper introduces a new algorithm for Cryptography to achieve a higher level of security. In this algorithm it becomes possible to hide the meaning of a message in unprintable characters. The main issue of this paper is to make the encrypted message undoubtedly unprintable using several times of ASCII conversions and a cyclic mathematical function. Dividing the original message into packets binary matrices are formed for each packet to produce the unprintable encrypted message through making the ASCII value for each character below 32. Similarly, several ASCII conversions and the inverse cyclic mathematical function are used to decrypt the unprintable encrypted message. The final encrypted message received from three times of encryption becomes an unprintable text through which the algorithm possesses higher level of security without increasing the size of data or loosing of any data.
