Cloud technology is advancing rapidly because of it’s capability to replace the traditional computing techniques. Cloud offers various kinds of services for the user that are being used. In this research paper, storage as a service provided by cloud is examined as the data of the owner is being shared to the cloud so we have to ensure that data integrity is being maintained. In order to have a robust mechanism that offers a secure pathway for sharing data different encryption algorithms have been utilized. We investigate all the suitable algorithms with various combinations because any single algorithm is prone to some kind of attack. Testing of these algorithms is done by analyzing the parameters such as time required for execution, use of computational resources, key management, etc. Finally the best one that stands and fulfill all the criteria in a reasonable manner is selected for the purpose of storage.

With the introduction of Cloud computing, a new era of computing has begun. Cloud has the ability to provide flexible, cost effective pay-as-you-go service. In the modern day computing, outsourcing of data/multimedia into the cloud has become an effective trend as cloud provides storage as a service, platform/software as a service, infrastructure as a service etc. Seamless exchange of data /multimedia is made possible ensuring the data available anytime, anywhere. Even though cloud based services offer many advantages, data owners are still hesitant to keep their data with the third party. Confidentiality, Integrity, Privacy and Non-repudiation are the major concerns of the outsourced data. To secure the data exchange between users and the cloud, many traditional security approaches are proposed. In this paper, a hybrid encryption technique to secure the images is proposed. The scheme uses Elliptic Curve Cryptography to generate the secret key, which in turn used for DES and AES algorithms.

With increasing improvements in different areas, Internet control has been making prominent impacts in almost all areas of technology that has resulted in reasonable advances in every discrete field and therefore the industries too are proceeding to the field of IoT (Internet of Things), in which the communication among heterogeneous equipments is via Internet broadly. So imparting these advances of technology in the Power Station Plant sectors i.e. the power plants will be remotely controlled additional to remote monitoring, with no corporal place as a factor for controlling or monitoring. But imparting this technology the security factor needs to be considered as a basic and such methods need to be put into practice that the communication in such networks or control systems is defended against any third party interventions while the data is being transferred from one device to the other device through the internet (Unrestricted Channel). The paper puts forward exercising RSA,DES and AES encrypting schemes for the purpose of data encryption at the Data Link Layer i.e. before it is transmitted to the other device through Internet and as a result of this the security constraints are maintained. The records put to use have been supplied by NTPC, Dadri, India plus simulation part was executed employing MATLAB.

Chibaya, Colin, Jowa, Viola Jubile, Rupere, Taurayi.  2020.  A HES for Low Speed Processors. 2020 2nd International Multidisciplinary Information Technology and Engineering Conference (IMITEC). :1—6.
Adaptation of e-commerce in third world countries requires more secure computing facilities. Online data is vulnerable and susceptible to active attacks. Hundreds of security mechanisms and services have been proposed to curb this challenge. However, available security mechanisms, sufficiently strong, are heavy for the machines used. To secure online data where machines' processing power and memory are deficient, a Hybrid Encryption Standard (HES) is proposed. The HES is built on the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm and its siblings. The component units of the DES are redesigned towards reduced demands for processing power and memory. Precisely, white box designs of IP tables, PC tables, Expansion tables, Rotation tables, S-boxes and P-boxes are proposed, all aimed at reducing the processing time and memory demands. Evaluation of the performance of the HES algorithm against the performance of the traditional DES algorithm reveal that the HES out-performs the DES with regards to speed, memory demands, and general acceptance by novice practitioners in the cryptography field. In addition, reproducibility and flexibility are attractive features of the HES over the DES.
Mukwevho, Ndivho, Chibaya, Colin.  2020.  Dynamic vs Static Encryption Tables in DES Key Schedules. 2020 2nd International Multidisciplinary Information Technology and Engineering Conference (IMITEC). :1—5.
The DES is a symmetric cryptosystem which encrypts data in blocks of 64 bits using 48 bit keys in 16 rounds. It comprises a key schedule, encryption and decryption components. The key schedule, in particular, uses three static component units, the PC-1, PC-2 and rotation tables. However, can these three static components of the key schedule be altered? The DES development team never explained most of these component units. Understanding the DES key schedule is, thus, hard. In addition, reproducing the DES model with unknown component units is challenging, making it hard to adapt and bring implementation of the DES model closer to novice developers' context. We propose an alternative approach for re-implementing the DES key schedule using, rather, dynamic instead of static tables. We investigate the design features of the DES key schedule and implement the same. We then propose a re-engineering view towards a more white-box design. Precisely, generation of the PC-1, rotation and PC-2 tables is revisited to random dynamic tables created at run time. In our views, randomly generated component units eliminate the feared concerns regarding perpetrators' possible knowledge of the internal structures of the static component units. Comparison of the performances of the hybrid DES key schedule to that of the original DES key schedule shows closely related outcomes, connoting the hybrid version as a good alternative to the original model. Memory usage and CPU time were measured. The hybrid insignificantly out-performs the original DES key schedule. This outcome may inspire further researches on possible alterations to other DES component units as well, bringing about completely white-box designs to the DES model.

Mahmoud, Ahmed Y., Alqumboz, Mohammed Naji Abu.  2019.  Encryption Based On Multilevel Security for Relational Database EBMSR. 2019 International Conference on Promising Electronic Technologies (ICPET). :130–135.
Cryptography is one of the most important sciences today because of the importance of data and the possibility of sharing data via the Internet. Therefore, data must be preserved when stored or transmitted over the Internet. Encryption is used as a solution to protect information during the transmission via an open channel. If the information is obtained illegally, the opponent/ enemy will not be able to understand the information due to encryption. In this paper we have developed a cryptosystem for testing the concepts of multi security level. The information is encrypted using more than one encryption algorithm based on the security level. The proposed cryptosystem concerns of Encryption Based on Multilevel Security (MLS) Model for DBMS. The cryptosystem is designed for both encryption and decryption.

Pich, Reatrey, Chivapreecha, Sorawat, Prabnasak, Jaruwit.  2018.  A single, triple chaotic cryptography using chaos in digital filter and its own comparison to DES and triple DES. 2018 International Workshop on Advanced Image Technology (IWAIT). :1–4.
The Data Encryption Standard (DES) of the multimedia cryptography possesses the weak point of key conducting that is why it reaches to the triple form of DES. However, the triple DES obtains the better characteristic to secure the protection of data to against the attacks, it still contains an extremely inappropriate performance (speed) and efficiency in doing so. This paper provides the effective performance and the results of a single and triple chaotic cryptography using chaos in digital filter, compare to DES and triple DES. This comparison has been made pair-to-pair of single structure respectively to the triple form. Finally the implementation aspects of a single chaotic cryptography using chaos in digital filter can stand efficiently as better performance speed with the small complexity algorithm, points out the resemblances to DES and triple DES with the similar security confirmation results without reaching to the triple form of the structure. Simulation has been conducted using Matlab simulation with the input of grayscale image.

Vyakaranal, S., Kengond, S..  2018.  Performance Analysis of Symmetric Key Cryptographic Algorithms. 2018 International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP). :0411–0415.
Data's security being important aspect of the today's internet is gaining more importance day by day. With the increase in online data exchange, transactions and payments; secure payment and secure data transfers have become an area of concern. Cryptography makes the data transmission over the internet secure by various methods, algorithms. Cryptography helps in avoiding the unauthorized people accessing the data by authentication, confidentiality, integrity and non-repudiation. In order to securely transmit the data many cryptographic algorithms are present, but the algorithm to be used should be robust, efficient, cost effective, high performance and easily deployable. Choosing an algorithm which suits the customer's requirement is an utmost important task. The proposed work discusses different symmetric key cryptographic algorithms like DES, 3DES, AES and Blowfish by considering encryption time, decryption time, entropy, memory usage, throughput, avalanche effect and energy consumption by practical implementation using java. Practical implementation of algorithms has been highlighted in proposed work considering tradeoff performance in terms of cost of various parameters rather than mere theoretical concepts. Battery consumption and avalanche effect of algorithms has been discussed. It reveals that AES performs very well in overall performance analysis among considered algorithms.

Liu, T., Wen, Y..  2018.  Studied on Application of Double Encryption Algorithm in Covert Channel Transmission. 2018 International Conference on Intelligent Transportation, Big Data Smart City (ICITBS). :210-213.

In the process of mobile intelligent terminal for file transfer, ensure the safety of data transmission is significant. It is necessary to prevent the file from being eavesdropped and tampered during transmission. The method of using double encryption on covert channel is proposed in this paper based on the analysis of encryption algorithms and covert channel, which uses asymmetric encryption algorithm to encrypt the key of symmetric encryption, to form hidden information, and to carry out covert transmission through covert channels to enhance the security of mobile terminal data transmission. By simulating the above scenarios in intelligent mobile terminal, the confidentiality and concealment of important information are realized in the transmission process.

This paper proposes a design method of a support tool for detection and diagnosis of failures in discrete event systems (DES). The design of this diagnoser goes through three phases: an identification phase and finding paths and temporal parameters of the model describing the two modes of normal and faulty operation, a detection phase provided by the comparison and monitoring time operation and a location phase based on the combination of the temporal evolution of the parameters and thresholds exceeded technique. Our contribution lays in the application of this technique in the presence of faults arising simultaneously, sensors and actuators. The validation of the proposed approach is illustrated in a filling system through a simulation.

Nowadays, cryptography is one of the common security mechanisms. Cryptography algorithms are used to make secure data transmission over unsecured networks. Vital applications are required to techniques that encrypt/decrypt big data at the appropriate time, because the data should be encrypted/decrypted are variable size and usually the size of them is large. In this paper, for the mentioned requirements, the counter mode cryptography (CTR) algorithm with Data Encryption Standard (DES) core is paralleled by using Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). A secondary part of our work, this parallel CTR algorithm is applied on special network on chip (NoC) architecture that designed by Heracles toolkit. The results of numerical comparison show that GPU-based implementation can be achieved better runtime in comparison to the CPU-based one. Furthermore, our final implementations show that parallel CTR mode cryptography is achieved better runtime by using special NoC that applied on FPGA board in comparison to GPU-based and CPU ones.

Stanisavljevic, Z., Stanisavljevic, J., Vuletic, P., Jovanovic, Z..  2014.  COALA - System for Visual Representation of Cryptography Algorithms. Learning Technologies, IEEE Transactions on. 7:178-190.

Educational software systems have an increasingly significant presence in engineering sciences. They aim to improve students' attitudes and knowledge acquisition typically through visual representation and simulation of complex algorithms and mechanisms or hardware systems that are often not available to the educational institutions. This paper presents a novel software system for CryptOgraphic ALgorithm visuAl representation (COALA), which was developed to support a Data Security course at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. The system allows users to follow the execution of several complex algorithms (DES, AES, RSA, and Diffie-Hellman) on real world examples in a step by step detailed view with the possibility of forward and backward navigation. Benefits of the COALA system for students are observed through the increase of the percentage of students who passed the exam and the average grade on the exams during one school year.
