Postdoctoral Research Position in Medical Cyber-Physical Systems at UVA Link Lab
Postdoctoral Research Fellow Opportunity: The Department of Computer Science and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia seek to hire a postdoctoral research fellow to support the faculty and students in the CPS Link Lab (https://engineering.virginia.edu/link-lab/). The incumbents are expected to perform one or more of the following activities: generate novel research, contribute to writing papers and proposals, build and maintain CPS testbeds and systems, and mentor graduate students. Specific research area is Medical Cyber-Physical Systems.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical and/or Computer engineering. Research experience and significant implementation experience in Medical Cyber-Physical Systems is strongly preferred. Proficient knowledge of computer word processing, spreadsheet, database software, power point, statistics and other software used in scientific research analysis are required. Proficiency with C/C++ and Python programming in Linux and machine learning and data science is desirable. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, willing to take the lead and work independently and as a team member is required. Ability to write and communicate clearly and complete research findings in the English language are a must.
