Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the Blekinge Institute of Technology

Dear all,

The Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH, Karlskrona, Sweden) is offering an open and permanent position for a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science with focus on IT Security (Reference number: BTH-3.1.2-0386-2019).

The position is located in the Department of Computer Science (DIDA). The Department of Computer Science (DIDA) is one of three departments at the Faculty of Computing. The department is BTH's largest department with 70 people. All the research carried out at the department is applied, which is in line with BTH's strategy. In relation to the research carried out at DIDA, its main research areas are the following:

• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
• Cloud Computing & Distributed Systems
• Computer graphics and visualisation
• Cryptography & Computer Security
• Data Science
• Decision-support Systems & Automation
• Digital game development
• Human-centered computing
• Performance Optimization & Parallel Computing

About the position:

The position includes research and teaching at the undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate level in the field of computer science, with a special focus on IT / computer security and related areas. Teaching can include lectures and practical parts such as laboratory exercises and projects. In addition, supervision of doctoral students in the subject area can be included, as well as degree projects at the undergraduate and advanced level.

The person we are looking for has the research focus in one or more of the following areas:

• Security in distributed and interconnected systems
• Network Security
• Cloud Security
• Trusted service provisioning
• Security in IoT systems and cyber-physical systems
• Digital survey technology
• Data security, privacy and governance

Employment: 100%, full-time
Commencement: To be agreed.
Duration: Permanent
