Faculty Openings at Augusta University's School of Computer and Cyber Sciences
The School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University, located in Augusta, Georgia, is now accepting applications for faculty members at the Assistant, Associate and Professor levels.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline at the time of appointment, have demonstrated excellence in research, and a strong commitment to teaching. Outstanding candidates in all areas of computer and cyber sciences will be considered with a target appointment date of Fall 2020.
While the city of Augusta, Georgia has been known as the "Golf Capitol of the World", Augusta is quickly gaining notoriety as a cybersecurity and technology hub. Augusta is centrally located to many governmental and coporate partnerships critical to our nation's security including Savannah River National Laboratory, the National Security Agency and U.S. Army Cyber Command (coming soon). Augusta is also home to the Georgia Cyber Center, a $100 million investment from the State of Georgia, whose mission is to cultivate an ecosystem where the combined talent of academia, government and private industry will work together to develop the future cybersecurity workforce and solve complex cybersecurity challenges to provide our state and nation with a decisive advantage in this booming industry.
