KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Each effort should submit one or two specific highlights. Each item should include a paragraph or two along with a citation if available. Write as if for the general reader of IEEE S&P.
The purpose of the highlights is to give our immediate sponsors a body of evidence that the funding they are providing (in the framework of the SoS lablet model) is delivering results that "more than justify" the investment they are making.
We conducted additional interviews with experts that yielded valuable insights and knowledge into what makes cybersecurity research scientific beyond what we had already seen. The interviews have revealed additional insight on the scope of information the rubric will have to contain to address different types of cybersecurity research papers. Our engagement with the community has been frequent and largely positive in regards to the project goals despite the challenges of the pandemic.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS
We have interviewed 12 subject matter experts from or associated with the SoSL community. Our future interviews will be not only with other lablet members and associates, but also with members of the external cybersecurity community.
