NC State Industry Forum March 2013
NC State University hosted its first Science of Security Industry Forum on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. This forum brought the faculty and graduate students working on all of the lablet projects together with representatives from industry and government organizations to discuss the high-level objectives of the lablet as well as the individual research projects. Guests representing eighteen different companies and government agencies were represented. The goals for this community meeting were to get feedback from industry on the kinds of research problems under consideration and to help establish mutually beneficial collaborative partnerships between the lablet projects and industry partners. The forum featured presentations from students and faculty and an open poster session which fostered interesting and engaging discussions about the problems we are working on and their relationships to the problems organizations face on a regular basis.
