KEY HIGHLIGHTS

We made progress on the development of our guidelines for scientific reporting in cyber security. Specifically, we completed the refinement of the larger thematic groups that categorized the coded data we gathered from our interviews with cyber security experts. We are using these groups to develop the guidelines to improve scientific rigor and validity in cyber security reporting.

We also completed and verified our analysis of de-identified reviews from papers submitted to HoTSoS'20. Because the HoTSoS conference is focused on the science of security, this data provides insight into the information HoTSoS reviewers found important. We plan to use this data to further verify and support the guidelines created from the interview data.
