Program Manager Position at Columbia Data Science Institute

Data Science Institute at Columbia University is a world-leading institute in research and education in theory and practice of the emerging field of data science. To drive both innovative approaches and best practices for management of an ambitious Trustworthy AI research agenda, the Institute invites candidates for the Technical Project Manager position. The grant funded position reports to the Avanessians Director of the Data Science Institute. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the success of the Trustworthy AI research agenda which comprises a number of research grants stemming from industry, government and foundation. This individual will establish and manage the overall program deliverables and budget which enable the alignment and oversight of the specific projects. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with Principal Investigators to ensure that each specific project remains grant compliant and deliverables are being executed according to schedule and milestones. Additionally this role will be expected to interface with key stakeholders to ensure we are executing according to the established budget and that the technical milestones are managed to meet the metrics required of the individual projects. The Project Manager will be expected to have a technical background in computer science and or knowledge of machine learning, AI and data science to help manage a team of faculty, students, postdocs and can adequately oversee any necessary unique facilities. https://opportunities.columbia.edu/cw/en-us/job/516458?lApplicationSubSourceID=
