KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Based on input from our interviews and analysis of HotSoS reviews, we developed Version 1.0 of the Guidelines for Scientific Reporting in Cyber Security.

  • During the November 2021 SoSL Quarterly Meeting, we organized an interactive session to gather early feedback on the guidelines.

  • The next step in our work is to evaluate the guidelines through interviews of cyber security experts who are outside of the Science of Security community. These interviews will provide external input, and validity, to the guidelines and help increase the likelihood of their acceptance in the larger cyber security research community.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS

  • Organized a session during the November 2021 SoSL Quarterly Meeting where we presented our guidelines, gathered feedback from audience members who used the guidelines on their own papers, and led a discussion on the state of the guidelines.
