Session AE318 Description
In its quest to minimize in-vehicle E/E (HW/SW) architecture costs, mass/weight, and energy consumption the automotive industry is relying upon ad-hoc methods, point tools, and in-house experience. Optimization-driven design decisions are made when scarce information is available; design uncertainties are high, and so is the urgency to make such decisions because of time to market pressures and government regulations.
This session aims at addressing optimization-driven design by presenting the most novel approaches aimed at ensuring a high degree of automation and integration of the different models, methods, tools, and design data used for an optimization driven design process in the presence of current and future uncertainties.
KEYWORDS: Design Automation, Optimization, Minimization, Mass, Cost, Power, Energy, Design Flow Management, E/E Architectures, Tool Integration Platforms, Data/Meta-Data Models.
Paolo Giusto, Amit Choudhury
