KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • During this quarter, we began the second phase of interviews that serve as input to the Guidelines for Scientific Reporting in Cyber Security. We conducted these interviews primarily with experts who are not directly part of the Science of Security community. The input from people outside of our direct community helps to increase the external validity of our work. This input also helps increase the chance of the guidelines being adopted by the larger cyber security community.
  • With this set of interviews complete, we have begun analyzing the information gathered during the interviews. We will present early results from the interviews in a poster at HoTSoS'22. After completing the analysis, we will update the draft guidelines based on the feedback. If needed, we will conduct additional interviews until we achieve saturation. Once we reach saturation with our data, we will begin formalizing the results into a publication.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS

  • We interviewed seven cyber security experts who are not directly part of the Science of Security community.
  • We have an accepted poster at HoTSoS'22
