DSN 2022
The 52nd Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks
It is our pleasure to invite you to the 52nd edition of the Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks. After two online editions, DSN 2022 is going back to in-person meeting, to be held in the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The hotel is located in the heart of the Inner Harbor, home to tourist attractions such as the National Aquarium, Maryland Science Center, and the Port Discovery Children's Museum.
Over the years, DSN has pioneered the fusion between dependability and security research, understanding the need to simultaneously fight against accidental faults, intentional cyber-attacks, design errors, and unexpected operating conditions. DSN is also providing a fruitful ground for academia and industry interaction.
The 2022 edition offers an attractive program. The first day features 3 workshops: Data-Centric Dependability and Security, Dependable and Secure Machine Learning, and Safety and Security of Intelligent Vehicles. The following three days are dedicated to research track presentations, an industry track, fast abstracts, and student forum presentations and discussions.
This year we have three outstanding keynote speakers. Elaine Shi, Carnegie Mellon University, will present “Foundations of Transaction Fee Mechanism Design”. Nicholas Carlini, Google Brain, will talk about “Machine learning is becoming less dependable”. Franck Capello, Argonne National Laboratory, will present “Resilience and fault tolerance for extreme-scale scientific computing”.
The program features the announcement of several awards: the William C. Carter dissertation award, the Jean-Claude Laprie awards, the Test-of-Time Award, and the Rising Star Award. The Best Paper Award will be decided by the conference attendees during the first technical session out of three candidate papers selected by the Program Committee and Steering Committee.
Last, but not least, the program includes a session dedicated to our colleague and friend Gilles Muller, celebrating his research and his contributions to the DSN community over the years.
The DSN conference would not have been possible without the support, hard work, and dedication of the steering committee, organizing committee, program committees, and the volunteers. Many thanks to our sponsors, IEEE, IFIP, Siemens, Johns Hopkins University, KAUST, Intel, and Lancaster University.
