- "Guidelines for Improving Cyber Security Reporting with External Validation," Matthew Armstrong and Jeffrey C. Carver, HotSoS 2022 Poster.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
We used the data from the previous quarter's interviews with external cyber security experts to verify and improve our current Guidelines for Scientific Reporting in Cyber Security. We found the information gathered from our interviews of external experts to be congruent with the information we gathered previously from experts within the SoS ecosystem. We also analyzed direct feedback on the guidelines from the interview participants, which highlighted the necessity of requirements tailored to different subdomains of cyber security research.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS
-
We presented a poster at HoTSoS'2022 that showcased our early findings from data analysis.
-
We analyzed data from interviews with seven cyber security experts who are from the more general cyber security research community (i.e. not within the Science of Security community).
