Location:
The CRC17 Workshop will be held at Omni Hotel in downtown Charlottesville, VA.
Located at the foot of the Blue Ridge, Charlottesville boasts multiple entertainment, sightseeing, and outdoor sporting activities within the city and surrounding areas. In 2014, Charlottesville was rated the happiest city in America.

Venue:
Workshop venue is the Omni Hotel, which is located in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The Omni is directly located on the city's pedstrian mall, which includes restaurants, theaters, arts and craft shops, and many other entertainment options.

A room block is reserved at the Omni for workshop participants. Availability is on first-come-first-served.

Additional hotel options are available in Charlottesville. The city is served by a regional Airport with connections to major hubs.

Funding:

The workshop organizers will provide participant support for attendees in the form of reimbursement, which will be handled through the University of Virginia. Maximum participant support is given per the following guidelines*:

• Domestic travel from outside of 5 hrs driving distance from the University of Virginia: $1,300 maximum
• Domestic travel within 5 hrs driving distance from the UVa but outside of the Charlottesville and adjacent counties: $800 maximum
• Within Charlottesville and surrounding counties: no travel support, meals will be provided at workshop
• International travel: $2,500 maximum, considered on a case-by-case basis

* A stipend higher than the maximum amount is possible, and is considered on a case-by-case basis. Consideration is based on the participant's needs, contribution to the workshop, and participant's gain from attending the worskhop.
