Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to submit:

  1. A summary stating the objective of the paper/presentation;
  2. A Tentative title;
  3. The Name of the author and co-authors and all contact information;

Abstracts must be submitted on-line to SAE and targeted to ONE session only.

Upon submission, you will receive an automatic reply with your paper offer number. If you do not receive a paper offer number at that point, please retry on-line submission or email congress@sae.org. Offered papers shall not have been previously published; and if accepted, contributors will not release their paper for publication through other media.

Paper acceptance will be based on organizer moderated peer review of a review ready manuscript in line with the following dates:

Session AE102 Description

In its quest to minimize in-vehicle E/E (HW/SW) architecture costs, mass/weight, and its impact on energy consumption the automotive industry is mainly relying upon ad-hoc methods, point tools, and in-house experience. Optimization-driven design decisions must be made when scarce information is available; design uncertainties are high, and so is the urgency to make such decisions because of time to market/competitive pressures and government regulations.

This session aims at addressing optimization-driven design by presenting the most novel approaches aimed at ensuring a high degree of automation and integration of the different models, methods, tools, and design data used for an optimization driven design process of in-vehicle E/E (HW/SW) architectures in the presence of current and future uncertainties.

KEYWORDS: Design Automation, Optimization, Minimization, Mass, Cost, Power, Energy, Design Flow Management, E/E Architectures, Tool Integration Platforms, Data/Meta-Data Models, Trade-Study Support.
