Job Description:

Founded in 1966, the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) is a large and vibrant department in the Faculty of Science and Health. CSEE is internationally known for its research in a range of areas, and offers an excellent education to its students.

This permanent appointment of a Professor in Cyber Physical Systems, represents a prospect of exceptional promise for a senior academic working at the intersection of Cyber Physical Systems.

As part of the continued expansion of the School, we are seeking to appoint two Professorships in two of the four areas of specialism in the school.

We are also recruiting in the areas of:

- Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence and Computer Games
- Human Language Technology/Natural Language Processing

The Role and Duties

The successful candidate/s will be expected to deliver excellent research and teaching, generate research income, to contribute to the administration and management of the School, and to the local, regional and international profile of the Department.

These permanent Professorial appointments in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering represent a prospect of exceptional promise for a senior academic working in CSEE.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and relevant academic expertise in a related area. You will have a proven track record of internationally excellent research relevant to the post, a strong track record of published academic output at international levels of recognition, success in raising grant income appropriate to the research discipline, and a sustained record of effectiveness in relation to teaching and learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
