This paper has a new network security evaluation method as an absorbing Markov chain-based assessment method. This method is different from other network security situation assessment methods based on graph theory. It effectively refinement issues such as poor objectivity of other methods, incomplete consideration of evaluation factors, and mismatching of evaluation results with the actual situation of the network. Firstly, this method collects the security elements in the network. Then, using graph theory combined with absorbing Markov chain, the threat values of vulnerable nodes are calculated and sorted. Finally, the maximum possible attack path is obtained by blending network asset information to determine the current network security status. The experimental results prove that the method fully considers the vulnerability and threat node ranking and the specific case of system network assets, which makes the evaluation result close to the actual network situation.

Ma, Limei, Zhao, Dongmei.  2022.  Research on Setting of Two Firewall Rules Based on Ubuntu Linux System. 2022 International Conference on Computer Network, Electronic and Automation (ICCNEA). :178–182.
"Security first" is the most concerned issue of Linux administrators. Security refers to the integrity of data. The authentication security and integrity of data are higher than the privacy security of data. Firewall is used to realize the function of access control under Linux. It is divided into hardware or software firewall. No matter in which network, the firewall must work at the edge of the network. Our task is to define how the firewall works. This is the firewall's policies and rules, so that it can detect the IP and data in and out of the network. At present, there are three or four layers of firewalls on the market, which are called network layer firewalls, and seven layers of firewalls, which are actually the gateway of the agent layer. But for the seven layer firewall, no matter what your source port or target port, source address or target address is, it will check all your things. Therefore, the seven layer firewall is more secure, but it brings lower efficiency. Therefore, the usual firewall schemes on the market are a combination of the two. And because we all need to access from the port controlled by the firewall, the work efficiency of the firewall has become the most important control of how much data users can access. This paper introduces two types of firewalls iptables and TCP\_Wrappers. What are the differences between the use policies, rules and structures of the two firewalls? This is the problem to be discussed in this paper.

Wang, Tianma, Zhao, Dongmei, Zheng, Le.  2021.  Information Protection of International Students Based on Network Security. 2021 International Conference on Computer Network, Electronic and Automation (ICCNEA). :172—176.
With China's overall national strength, the education of studying in China has entered a period of rapid development, and China has become one of the important destination countries for international student mobility. With political stability, rapid economic development, and continuous improvement in the quality of higher education, the educational value of studying in China is increasingly recognized by international students. International students study and live in the same way as domestic students. While the development of the Internet has brought convenience to people, it has also created many security risks. How to protect the information security of international students is the focus of this paper. This paper introduces the classification, characteristics and security risks of international students' personal information. In order to protect the private data of international students from being leaked, filtering rules are set in the campus network through WinRoute firewall to effectively prevent information from being leaked, tampered or deleted, which can be used for reference by other universities.

Zhang, Junpeng, Li, Mengqian, Zeng, Shuiguang, Xie, Bin, Zhao, Dongmei.  2021.  A Survey on Security and Privacy Threats to Federated Learning. 2021 International Conference on Networking and Network Applications (NaNA). :319–326.
Federated learning (FL) has nourished a promising scheme to solve the data silo, which enables multiple clients to construct a joint model without centralizing data. The critical concerns for flourishing FL applications are that build a security and privacy-preserving learning environment. It is thus highly necessary to comprehensively identify and classify potential threats to utilize FL under security guarantees. This paper starts from the perspective of launched attacks with different computing participants to construct the unique threats classification, highlighting the significant attacks, e.g., poisoning attacks, inference attacks, and generative adversarial networks (GAN) attacks. Our study shows that existing FL protocols do not always provide sufficient security, containing various attacks from both clients and servers. GAN attacks lead to larger significant threats among the kinds of threats given the invisible of the attack process. Moreover, we summarize a detailed review of several defense mechanisms and approaches to resist privacy risks and security breaches. Then advantages and weaknesses are generalized, respectively. Finally, we conclude the paper to prospect the challenges and some potential research directions.

Ma, Limei, Zhao, Dongmei, Gao, Yijun, Zhao, Chen.  2019.  Research on SQL Injection Attack and Prevention Technology Based on Web. 2019 International Conference on Computer Network, Electronic and Automation (ICCNEA). :176–179.
This SQL injection attack is one of the common means for hackers to attack database. With the development of B/S mode application development, more and more programmers use this mode to write applications. However, due to the uneven level and experience of programmers, a considerable number of programmers do not judge the legitimacy of user input data when writing code, which makes the application security risks. Users can submit a database query code and get some data they want to know according to the results of the program. SQL injection attack belongs to one of the means of database security attack. It can be effectively protected by database security protection technology. This paper introduces the principle of SQL injection, the main form of SQL injection attack, the types of injection attack, and how to prevent SQL injection. Discussed and illustrated with examples.
