Post Doc of Multimodal Machine Learning

The position involves working on multimodal processing of textual and visual data extracted from millions of chest x-ray examinations. The position is part of the AI4XRAY project funded by a Innovation Fund Denmark Grand Solutions grant in collaboration with clinicians at Rigshospitalet, a highly specialized hospital based in Denmark, and researchers at Unumed, a company that specializes in hospital management software. The postdoc's duties will include research within multimodal machine learning, and supervision and teaching are encouraged by not required. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Applicants should have or be about to receive a PhD degree in a subject relevant for the research area. The successful candidate should have a background in machine learning with experience in natural language processing, both of which should be supported by publications in top conferences in natural language processing or computer vision or machine learning. Working knowledge of medical image analysis / computer vision and of the Danish language is a bonus due to the nature of the project and the textual materials.

The employment as postdoc is a full time and fixed term position for 2,5 years. The position is open from 01 January 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.843 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.871). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
