Travel Support
Update: The paperwork for all participants who were awarded travel support has been signed and filed by the PI for reimbursement. We hope that the necessary forms are completed and boxes ticked to have the process nearing completion. When your travel reimbursement is approved, you should receive a check in the mail, and the reimbursement should not be subject to taxable income. It was this final issue that held up processing by the university, so we waited until the correct process was chosen to avoid those extra headaches for you, even though it cost some amount of time in processing. We thank you for your patience, and please let us know if you get your support check in the mail and we will post an update here.
If you were granted travel support, make sure you have filled out the Travel Support Information form. Once you've filled out that form, we can start setting you up for your travel support.
Additionally, you may need to provide the following details:
- Copy of your (1) passport picture page and (2) the passport page with the entry stamp, if you are not a US Citizen or permanent resident (please bring these two (2) copies with you)
- Copy of your DS-2019 or I-20, if you are on a J-1 or F-1 visa (please bring this copy with you)
- Copy of your Form I-797, if you are on an H1B (please bring this copy with you)
- You can also see this URL for description of why Arizona needs these documents: http://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/acceptable-documents/additional-documentation-requirements
If you can't make these copies or don't have them with you during the trip, then you can fax them to us at +1 520 621-8076, TO: Staff for NSF Aspiring PIs in CPS Workshop, c/o Jonathan Sprinkle.
Every participant who receives travel support will need to sign an "Employee Reimbursement Request Form" during the workshop. We will use the below information you provide to pre-populate your entry into the University of Arizona vendor system, but you will still need to provide your SSN and signature in person.
If you didn't have an Employee Reimbursement Form in your folder, and you were extended travel support, we are hoping to provide a copy for you to sign sometime Wednesday. However, we can't generate the your signature page without you filling out the Travel Support Information form, so please do that ASAP.

CPS Virtual Organization
The CPS-VO will be used to handle meeting logistics, registration, and announcements for participants. All participants must create a CPS-VO account in order to submit their response to the CfP. The VO will also house the video that is captured, so that the results of the workshop talks can be broadly disseminated.
