Technologies to reclaim food and agricultural waste (nutrients) are, in and of themselves, only part of a landscape of food, energy, and water systems (FEWS). Systems approaches offer solutions that researchers, producers, consumers, and policy makers can use to move toward more optimized FEWS. Our overarching goal is to develop solutions to basic integrated FEWS science questions as well as building analytical and visualization tools accessible to a broad range of stakeholders and decision-makers.
