MDH in Eskilstuna and Vasteras is one of Sweden's biggest university colleges with its 14 000 students and 900 employees. It has a long tradition of cooperating with society and has entered strategic agreements with both the public and the private sector. Most study programmes fall into four main areas: economy, health and welfare, education, and technology. With its research, which often takes the form of co-production on the regional, national and global levels, MDH aims to generate useful solutions for societal development. In 1999, MDH was the world's first university to be environmentally certified, and in 2006, it was the first higher education institution in Sweden to be certified for its work environment.
The KK-foundation project MOMENTUM is recruiting one Postdoc.
MOMENTUM (compilation of models for predictable embedded real-time and safety-critical applications) aims at providing methods to analyse and optimise industrial models, defined in the Unified Modeling Language (UML), in order to directly compile them to optimised executables for safety-critical applications without intermediate translations to conventional programming languages. The research in MOMENTUM will be performed in cooperation with two market leading companies, Saab and Alten Sweden.
Position description

The position is a temporary employment of 2 years. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in an exciting research environment together with researchers and practictioners from academia and prominent industrial partners. Moreover, the successful applicant will be involved in future research project applications and other research-related activities. There will be possibilities for gaining teaching and supervision experience if the successful applicant so wishes too.
