{The paper considers the efficiency of an adaptive non-recursive filter using the adjustment algorithm for weighting coefficients taking into account the constant envelope of the desired signal when receiving signals with multi-position phase shift keying against the background of noise and non-fluctuation interference. Two types of such interference are considered - harmonic and retranslated. The optimal filter parameters (adaptation coefficient and length) are determined by using simulation; the effect of the filter on the noise immunity of a quadrature coherent signal receiver with multi-position phase shift keying for different combinations of interference and their intensity is estimated. It is shown that such an adaptive filter can successfully deal with the most dangerous sighting harmonic interference}.
The three-phase grid-connected converter control strategy, which applies to the battery energy storage system, generally ignores the interference of harmonic components in the grid voltage. As a result, it is difficult to meet the practical application requirements. To deal with this problem, it is necessary to optimize and improve the traditional control strategy, taking harmonics into consideration. And its bases are analysis of the harmonic characteristics and study of its control mechanism in the grid-connected converter. This paper proposes a method of harmonic decomposition, classifies the grid voltage harmonics and explores the control mechanism in the grid-connected converter. With the help of the simulation model built by Matlab/Simulink, the comparative simulation of the energy storage control system carried out under the control of the ideal grid voltage input and the actual one, verifies the correctness of the analytical method proposed in the article.
Current BLE transmitters are susceptible to selective jamming due to long dwell times in a channel. To mitigate these attacks, we propose physical-layer security through an ultra-fast bit-level frequency-hopping (FH) scheme by exploiting the frequency agility of bulk acoustic wave resonators (BAW). Here we demonstrate the first integrated bit-level FH transmitter (TX) that hops at 1$μ$s period and uses data-driven random dynamic channel selection to enable secure wireless communications with additional data encryption. This system consists of a time-interleaved BAW-based TX implemented in 65nm CMOS technology with 80MHz coverage in the 2.4GHz ISM band and a measured power consumption of 10.9mW from 1.1V supply.
The new criterion for selecting the frequencies of the test polyharmonic signals is developed. It allows uniquely filtering the values of multidimensional transfer functions - Fourier-images of Volterra kernel from the partial component of the response of a nonlinear system. It is shown that this criterion significantly weakens the known limitations on the choice of frequencies and, as a result, reduces the number of interpolations during the restoration of the transfer function, and, the more significant, the higher the order of estimated transfer function.
The MgO-based magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) is the basis of modern hard disk drives' magnetic read sensors. Within its operating bandwidth, the sensor's performance is significantly affected by nonlinear and oscillating behavior arising from the MTJ's magnetization dynamics at microwave frequencies. Static I-V curve measurements are commonly used to characterize sensor's nonlinear effects. Unfortunately, these do not sufficiently capture the MTJ's magnetization dynamics. In this paper, we demonstrate the use of the two-tone measurement technique for full treatment of the sensor's nonlinear effects in conjunction with dynamic ones. This approach is new in the field of magnetism and magnetic materials, and it has its challenges due to the nature of the device. Nevertheless, the experimental results demonstrate how the two-tone measurement technique can be used to characterize magnetic sensor nonlinear properties.
This article deals with the estimation of magnet losses in a permanent-magnet motor inserted in a nut-runner. This type of machine has interesting features such as being two-pole, slot-less and running at a high speed (30000 rpm). Two analytical models were chosen from the literature. A numerical estimation of the losses with 2D Finite Element Method was carried out. A detailed investigation of the effect of simulation settings (e.g., mesh size, time-step, remanence flux density in the magnet, superposition of the losses, etc.) was performed. Finally, calculation of losses with 3D-FEM were also run in order to compare the calculated losses with both analytical and 2D-FEM results. The estimation of the losses focuses on a range of frequencies between 10 and 100 kHz.
