"Deepfake" it is an incipiently emerging face video forgery technique predicated on AI technology which is used for creating the fake video. It takes images and video as source and it coalesces these to make a new video using the generative adversarial network and the output is very convincing. This technique is utilized for generating the unauthentic spurious video and it is capable of making it possible to generate an unauthentic spurious video of authentic people verbally expressing and doing things that they never did by swapping the face of the person in the video. Deepfake can create disputes in countries by influencing their election process by defaming the character of the politician. This technique is now being used for character defamation of celebrities and high-profile politician just by swapping the face with someone else. If it is utilized in unethical ways, this could lead to a serious problem. Someone can use this technique for taking revenge from the person by swapping face in video and then posting it to a social media platform. In this paper, working of Deepfake technique along with how it can swap faces with maximum precision in the video has been presented. Further explained are the different ways through which we can identify if the video is generated by Deepfake and its advantages and drawback have been listed.

Many species reach group decisions by deliberating in real-time systems. This natural process, known as Swarm Intelligence (SI), has been studied extensively in a range of social organisms, from schools of fish to swarms of bees. A new technique called Artificial Swarm Intelligence (ASI) has enabled networked human groups to reach decisions in systems modeled after natural swarms. The present research seeks to understand the behavioral dynamics of such “human swarms.” Data was collected from ten human groups, each having between 21 and 25 members. The groups were tasked with answering a set of 25 ordered ranking questions on a 1-5 scale, first independently by survey and then collaboratively as a real-time swarm. We found that groups reached significantly different answers, on average, by swarm versus survey ( p=0.02). Initially, the distribution of individual responses in each swarm was little different than the distribution of survey responses, but through the process of real-time deliberation, the swarm's average answer changed significantly ( ). We discuss possible interpretations of this dynamic behavior. Importantly, the we find that swarm's answer is not simply the arithmetic mean of initial individual “votes” ( ) as in a survey, suggesting a more complex mechanism is at play-one that relies on the time-varying behaviors of the participants in swarms. Finally, we publish a set of data that enables other researchers to analyze human behaviors in real-time swarms.

Financial fraud is commonly represented by the use of illegal practices where they can intervene from senior managers until payroll employees, becoming a crime punishable by law. There are many techniques developed to analyze, detect and prevent this behavior, being the most important the fraud triangle theory associated with the classic financial audit model. In order to perform this research, a survey of the related works in the existing literature was carried out, with the purpose of establishing our own framework. In this context, this paper presents FraudFind, a conceptual framework that allows to identify and outline a group of people inside an banking organization who commit fraud, supported by the fraud triangle theory. FraudFind works in the approach of continuous audit that will be in charge of collecting information of agents installed in user's equipment. It is based on semantic techniques applied through the collection of phrases typed by the users under study for later being transferred to a repository for later analysis. This proposal encourages to contribute with the field of cybersecurity, in the reduction of cases of financial fraud.

The increasingly networked human society requires that human beings have a clear understanding and control over the structure, nature and behavior of various social networks. There is a tendency towards privacy in the study of network evolutions because privacy disclosure behavior in the network has gradually developed into a serious concern. For this purpose, we extended information theory and proposed a brand-new concept about so-called “habitual privacy” to quantitatively analyze privacy exposure behavior and facilitate privacy computation. We emphasized that habitual privacy is an inherent property of the user and is correlated with their habitual behaviors. The widely approved driving force in recent modeling complex networks is originated from activity. Thus, we propose the privacy-driven model through synthetically considering the activity impact and habitual privacy underlying the decision process. Privacy-driven model facilitates to more accurately capture highly dynamical network behaviors and figure out the complex evolution process, allowing a profound understanding of the evolution of network driven by privacy.

We present data from detailed observations of a “controlled in-the-wild” study of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) system. During 10 days of demonstration at seven nonspecialized public events, 1563 people learned about the system in various social configurations. Observations of audience behavior revealed recurring behavioral patterns. From these observations a framework of interaction with BCI systems was deduced. It describes the phases of passing by an installation, viewing and reacting, passive and active interaction, group interactions, and follow-up actions. We also conducted semi-structured interviews with the people who interacted with the system. The interviews revealed the barriers and several directions for further research on BCIs. Our findings can be useful for designing the BCIs foxr everyday adoption by a wide range of people.

This paper presents a study that examines whether social agents can elicit the social emotion shame as humans do. For that, we use job interviews, which are highly evaluative situations per se. We vary the interview style (shame-eliciting vs. neutral) and the job interviewer (human vs. social agent). Our dependent variables include observational data regarding the social signals of shame and shame regulation as well as self-assessment questionnaires regarding the felt uneasiness and discomfort in the situation. Our results indicate that social agents can elicit shame to the same amount as humans. This gives insights about the impact of social agents on users and the emotional connection between them.

The greatest threat towards securing the organization and its assets are no longer the attackers attacking beyond the network walls of the organization but the insiders present within the organization with malicious intent. Existing approaches helps to monitor, detect and prevent any malicious activities within an organization's network while ignoring the human behavior impact on security. In this paper we have focused on user behavior profiling approach to monitor and analyze user behavior action sequence to detect insider threats. We present an ensemble hybrid machine learning approach using Multi State Long Short Term Memory (MSLSTM) and Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) based time series anomaly detection to detect the additive outliers in the behavior patterns based on their spatial-temporal behavior features. We find that using Multistate LSTM is better than basic single state LSTM. The proposed method with Multistate LSTM can successfully detect the insider threats providing the AUC of 0.9042 on train data and AUC of 0.9047 on test data when trained with publically available dataset for insider threats.

It is accepted that the way a person types on a keyboard contains timing patterns, which can be used to classify him/her, is known as keystroke dynamics. Keystroke dynamics is a behavioural biometric modality, whose performances, however, are worse than morphological modalities such as fingerprint, iris recognition or face recognition. To cope with this, we propose to combine keystroke dynamics with soft biometrics. Soft biometrics refers to biometric characteristics that are not sufficient to authenticate a user (e.g. height, gender, skin/eye/hair colour). Concerning keystroke dynamics, three soft categories are considered: gender, age and handedness. We present different methods to combine the results of a classical keystroke dynamics system with such soft criteria. By applying simple sum and multiply rules, our experiments suggest that the combination approach performs better than the classification approach with best result of 5.41% of equal error rate. The efficiency of our approaches is illustrated on a public database.

In this research, we focus on context independent continuous authentication that reacts on every separate action performed by a user. The experimental data was collected in a complete uncontrolled condition from 53 users by using our data collection software. In our analysis, we considered both keystroke and mouse usage behaviour patterns to prevent a situation where an attacker avoids detection by restricting to one input device because the continuous authentication system only checks the other input device. The best result obtained from this research is that for 47 bio-metric subjects we have on average 275 actions required to detect an imposter where these biometric subjects are never locked out from the system.

Security and making trust is the first step toward development in both real and virtual societies. Internet-based development is inevitable. Increasing penetration of technology in the internet banking and its effectiveness in contributing to banking profitability and prosperity requires that satisfied customers turn into loyal customers. Currently, a large number of cyber attacks have been focused on online banking systems, and these attacks are considered as a significant security threat. Banks or customers might become the victim of the most complicated financial crime, namely internet fraud. This study has developed an intelligent system that enables detecting the user's abnormal behavior in online banking. Since the user's behavior is associated with uncertainty, the system has been developed based on the fuzzy theory, This enables it to identify user behaviors and categorize suspicious behaviors with various levels of intensity. The performance of the fuzzy expert system has been evaluated using an receiver operating characteristic curve, which provides the accuracy of 94%. This expert system is optimistic to be used for improving e-banking services security and quality.

What you see is not definitely believable is not a rare case in the cyber security monitoring. However, due to various tricks of camouflages, such as packing or virutal private network (VPN), detecting "advanced persistent threat"(APT) by only signature based malware detection system becomes more and more intractable. On the other hand, by carefully modeling users' subsequent behaviors of daily routines, probability for one account to generate certain operations can be estimated and used in anomaly detection. To the best of our knowledge so far, a novel behavioral analytic framework, which is dedicated to analyze Active Directory domain service logs and to monitor potential inside threat, is now first proposed in this project. Experiments on real dataset not only show that the proposed idea indeed explores a new feasible direction for cyber security monitoring, but also gives a guideline on how to deploy this framework to various environments.

Abnormal crowd behavior detection is an important research issue in video processing and computer vision. In this paper we introduce a novel method to detect abnormal crowd behaviors in video surveillance based on interest points. A complex network-based algorithm is used to detect interest points and extract the global texture features in scenarios. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated on publicly available datasets. We present a detailed analysis of the characteristics of the crowd behavior in different density crowd scenes. The analysis of crowd behavior features and simulation results are also demonstrated to illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.
