False news has become widespread in the last decade in political, economic, and social dimensions. This has been aided by the deep entrenchment of social media networking in these dimensions. Facebook and Twitter have been known to influence the behavior of people significantly. People rely on news/information posted on their favorite social media sites to make purchase decisions. Also, news posted on mainstream and social media platforms has a significant impact on a particular country’s economic stability and social tranquility. Therefore, there is a need to develop a deceptive system that evaluates the news to avoid the repercussions resulting from the rapid dispersion of fake news on social media platforms and other online platforms. To achieve this, the proposed system uses the preprocessing stage results to assign specific vectors to words. Each vector assigned to a word represents an intrinsic characteristic of the word. The resulting word vectors are then applied to RNN models before proceeding to the LSTM model. The output of the LSTM is used to determine whether the news article/piece is fake or otherwise.
The vehicle-to-grid (V2G) network has a clear advantage in terms of economic benefits, and it has grabbed the interest of powergrid and electric vehicle (EV) consumers. Many V2G techniques, at present, for example, use bilinear pairing to execute the authentication scheme, which results in significant computational costs. Furthermore, in the existing V2G techniques, the system master key is issued independently by the third parties, it is vulnerable to leaking if the third party is compromised by an attacker. This paper presents an efficient and secure anonymous authentication scheme for V2G networks to overcome this issue we use a lightweight authentication system for electric vehicles and smart grids. In the proposed technique, the keys are generated by the trusted authority after the successful registration of EVs in the trusted authority and the dispatching center. The suggested scheme not only enhances the verification performance of V2G networks and also protects against inbuilt hackers.
Information security of logistics services. Information security of logistics services is understood as a complex activity aimed at using information and means of its processing in order to increase the level of protection and normal functioning of the object's information environment. At the same time the main recommendations for ensuring information security of logistics processes include: logistics support of processes for ensuring the security of information flows of the enterprise; assessment of the quality and reliability of elements, reliability and efficiency of obtaining information about the state of logistics processes. However, it is possible to assess the level of information security within the organization's controlled part of the supply chain through levels and indicators. In this case, there are four levels and elements of information security of supply chains.
Edge computing brings processing and storage capabilities closer to the data sources, to reduce network latency, save bandwidth, and preserve data locality. Despite the clear benefits, this paradigm brings unprecedented cyber risks due to the combination of the security issues and challenges typical of cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) worlds. Notwithstanding an increasing interest in edge security by academic and industrial communities, there is still no discernible industry consensus on edge computing security best practices, and activities like threat analysis and countermeasure selection are still not well established and are completely left to security experts. In order to cope with the need for a simplified yet effective threat modeling process, which is affordable in presence of limited security skills and economic resources, and viable in modern development approaches, in this paper, we propose an automated threat modeling and countermeasure selection strategy targeting edge computing systems. Our approach leverages a comprehensive system model able to describe the main involved architectural elements and the associated data flow, with a focus on the specific properties that may actually impact on the applicability of threats and of associated countermeasures.
