The NOC Network on chip provides better performance and scalability communication structures point-to-point signal node, shared through bus architecture. Information analysis of method using the IOT termination, as the energy consumed in this regard reduces and reduces the network load but it also displays safety concerns because the valuation data is stored or transmitted to the network in various stages of the node. Using encryption to protect data on the area of network-on-chip Analysis Machine is a way to solve data security issues. We propose a Network on chip based on a combined multicore cluster with special packages for computing-intensive data processing and encryption functionality and support for software, in a tight power envelope for analyzing and coordinating integrated encryption. Programming for regular computing tasks is the challenge of efficient and secure data analysis for IOT end-end applications while providing full-functionality with high efficiency and low power to satisfy the needs of multiple processing applications. Applications provide a substantial parallel, so they can also use NOC's ability. Applications must compose in. This system controls the movement of the packets through the network. As network on chip (NOC) systems become more prevalent in the processing unit. Routers and interconnection networks are the main components of NOC. This system controls the movement of packets over the network. Chip (NOC) networks are very backward for the network processing unit. Guides and Link Networks are critical elements of the NOC. Therefore, these areas require less access and power consumption, so we can better understand environmental and energy transactions. In this manner, a low-area and efficient NOC framework were proposed by removing virtual channels.

To ensure the accountability of a cloud environment, security policies may be provided as a set of properties to be enforced by cloud providers. However, due to the sheer size of clouds, it can be challenging to provide timely responses to all the requests coming from cloud users at runtime. In this paper, we design and implement a middleware, PERMON, as a pluggable interface to OpenStack for intercepting and verifying the legitimacy of user requests at runtime, while leveraging our previous work on proactive security verification to improve the efficiency. We describe detailed implementation of the middleware and demonstrate its usefulness through a use case.

The recognition of intrusions has increased impressive enthusiasm for information mining with the acknowledgment that anomalies can be the key disclosure to be produced using extensive network databases. Intrusions emerge because of different reasons, for example, mechanical deficiencies, changes in framework conduct, fake conduct, human blunder and instrument mistake. Surely, for some applications the revelation of Intrusions prompts more intriguing and helpful outcomes than the disclosure of inliers. Discovery of anomalies can prompt recognizable proof of framework blames with the goal that executives can take preventive measures previously they heighten. A network database framework comprises of a sorted out posting of pages alongside programming to control the network information. This database framework has been intended to empower network operations, oversee accumulations of information, show scientific outcomes and to get to these information utilizing networks. It likewise empowers network clients to gather limitless measure of information on unbounded territories of utilization, break down it and return it into helpful data. Network databases are ordinarily used to help information control utilizing dynamic capacities on sites or for putting away area subordinate data. This database holds a surrogate for each network route. The formation of these surrogates is called ordering and each network database does this errand in an unexpected way. In this paper, a structure for compelling access control and Intrusion Detection using outliers has been proposed and used to give viable Security to network databases. The design of this framework comprises of two noteworthy subsystems to be specific, Access Control Subsystem and Intrusion Detection Subsystem. In this paper preprocessing module is considered which clarifies the preparing of preprocessing the accessible information. And rain forest method is discussed which is used for intrusion detection.

Software defined networks (SDNs) represent new centralized network architecture that facilitates the deployment of services, applications and policies from the upper layers, relatively the management and control planes to the lower layers the data plane and the end user layer. SDNs give several advantages in terms of agility and flexibility, especially for mobile operators and for internet service providers. However, the implementation of these types of networks faces several technical challenges and security issues. In this paper we will focus on SDN's security issues and we will propose the implementation of a centralized security layer named AM-SecP. The proposed layer is linked vertically to all SDN layers which ease packets inspections and detecting intrusions. The purpose of this architecture is to stop and to detect malware infections, we do this by denying services and tunneling attacks without encumbering the networks by expensive operations and high calculation cost. The implementation of the proposed framework will be also made to demonstrate his feasibility and robustness.

Upon the new paradigm of Cellular Internet of Things, through the usage of technologies such as Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), a massive amount of IoT devices will be able to use the mobile network infrastructure to perform their communications. However, it would be beneficial for these devices to use the same security mechanisms that are present in the cellular network architecture, so that their connections to the application layer could see an increase on security. As a way to approach this, an identity management and provisioning mechanism, as well as an identity federation between an IoT platform and the cellular network is proposed as a way to make an IoT device deemed worthy of using the cellular network and perform its actions.

Resolving distributed attacks benefits from collaboration between networks. We present three approaches for the same multi-domain defensive action that can be applied in such an alliance: 1) Counteract Everywhere, 2) Minimize Countermeasures, and 3) Minimize Propagation. First, we provide a formula to compute efficiency of a defense; then we use this formula to compute the efficiency of the approaches under various circumstances. Finally, we discuss how task execution order and timing influence defense efficiency. Our results show that the Minimize Propagation approach is the most efficient method when defending against the chosen attack.

How to evaluate software reliability based on historical data of embedded software projects is one of the problems we have to face in practical engineering. Therefore, we establish a software reliability evaluation model based on code metrics. This evaluation technique requires the aggregation of software code metrics into project metrics. Statistical value methods, metric distribution methods, and econometric methods are commonly-used aggregation methods. What are the differences between these methods in the software reliability evaluation process, and which methods can improve the accuracy of the reliability assessment model we have established are our concerns. In view of these concerns, we conduct an empirical study on the application of software code metric aggregation methods based on actual projects. We find the distribution of code metrics for the projects under study. Using these distribution laws, we optimize the aggregation method of code metrics and improve the accuracy of the software reliability evaluation model.

Thulasiraman, Preetha, Wang, Yizhong.  2019.  A Lightweight Trust-Based Security Architecture for RPL in Mobile IoT Networks. 2019 16th IEEE Annual Consumer Communications Networking Conference (CCNC). :1–6.

Military communities have come to rely heavily on commercial off the shelf (COTS) standards and technologies for Internet of Things (IoT) operations. One of the major obstacles to military use of COTS IoT devices is the security of data transfer. In this paper, we successfully design and develop a lightweight, trust-based security architecture to support routing in a mobile IoT network. Specifically, we modify the RPL IoT routing algorithm using common security techniques, including a nonce identity value, timestamp, and network whitelist. Our approach allows RPL to select a routing path over a mobile IoT wireless network based on a computed node trust value and average received signal strength indicator (ARSSI) value across network members. We conducted simulations using the Cooja network simulator and Wireshark to validate the algorithm against stipulated threat models. We demonstrate that our algorithm can protect the network against Denial of Service (DoS) and Sybil based identity attacks. We also show that the control overhead required for our algorithm is less than 5% and that the packet delivery rate improves by nearly 10%.

With features such as decentralization, consistency, tamper resistance, non-repudiation, and pseudonym, blockchain technology has the potential to strengthen the Internet of Things (IoT) significantly, thus opening an intriguing research area in the integration of blockchain and IoT. However, most existing blockchain schemes were not dedicated to the IoT ecosystem and hence could not meet the specific requirements of IoT. This paper aims to fix the gap. Inspired by Chainspace, a blockchain platform which could be applicable in IoT, VChain is proposed, a novel blockchain scheme suitable for IoT which is more secure, concrete, and practical compared with Chainspace. Specifically, in VChain, a two-layer BFT-based consensus protocol with HoneyBadger BFT protocol is proposed and a collective signature scheme as building blocks. The designs above allow for supporting faulty-shards-tolerance and asynchronous network model, which could not be sustained in Chainspace, and keeping high efficiency as well. Moreover, the sharding strategy presented in VChain, different from that in RapidChain, which adopts the energy-consuming PoW mechanism for sharding, is environmentfriendly and thus makes VChain fit for IoT well. Last but not least, VChain also inherits the merits of Chainspace to separate the execution and verification of smart contracts for privacy.
Biswas, Sonam, Roy, Abhishek.  2019.  An Intrusion Detection System Based Secured Electronic Service Delivery Model. 2019 3rd International conference on Electronics, Communication and Aerospace Technology (ICECA). :1316–1321.
Emergence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has facilitated its users to access electronic services through open channel like Internet. This approach of digital communication has its specific security lapses, which should be addressed properly to ensure Privacy, Integrity, Non-repudiation and Authentication (PINA) of information. During message communication, intruders may mount infringement attempts to compromise the communication. The situation becomes critical, if an user is identified by multiple identification numbers, as in that case, intruder have a wide window open to use any of its identification number to fulfill its ill intentions. To resolve this issue, author have proposed a single window based cloud service delivery model, where a smart card serves as a single interface to access multifaceted electronic services like banking, healthcare, employment, etc. To detect and prevent unauthorized access, in this paper, authors have focused on the intrusion detection system of the cloud service model during cloud banking transaction.

Talluri, Sacheendra, Iosup, Alexandru.  2019.  Efficient Estimation of Read Density When Caching for Big Data Processing. IEEE INFOCOM 2019 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications Workshops (INFOCOM WKSHPS). :502–507.

Big data processing systems are becoming increasingly more present in cloud workloads. Consequently, they are starting to incorporate more sophisticated mechanisms from traditional database and distributed systems. We focus in this work on the use of caching policies, which for big data raise important new challenges. Not only they must respond to new variants of the trade-off between hit rate, response time, and the space consumed by the cache, but they must do so at possibly higher volume and velocity than web and database workloads. Previous caching policies have not been tested experimentally with big data workloads. We address these challenges in this work. We propose the Read Density family of policies, which is a principled approach to quantify the utility of cached objects through a family of utility functions that depend on the frequency of reads of an object. We further design the Approximate Histogram, which is a policy-based technique based on an array of counters. This technique promises to achieve runtime-space efficient computation of the metric required by the cache policy. We evaluate through trace-based simulation the caching policies from the Read Density family, and compare them with over ten state-of-the-art alternatives. We use two workload traces representative for big data processing, collected from commercial Spark and MapReduce deployments. While we achieve comparable performance to the state-of-art with less parameters, meaningful performance improvement for big data workloads remain elusive.

First component state transition probability matrix and component state prediction were defined. A fast derivation method of Markov state transition probability matrix using in system state prediction was proposed. The Matlab program using this method was compiled to analyze and obtain the future state probability distribution of grid system. As a comparison the system state distribution was simulated based on sequential Monte Carlo method, which was in good agreement with the state transition matrix, and the validity of the method was verified. Furthermore, the situation prediction of the six-node example was analyzed, which provided an effective prediction and analysis tool for the security situation.

While the number of mobile applications are rapidly growing, these applications are often coming with numerous security flaws due to the lack of appropriate coding practices. Security issues must be addressed earlier in the development lifecycle rather than fixing them after the attacks because the damage might already be extensive. Early elimination of possible security vulnerabilities will help us increase the security of our software and mitigate or reduce the potential damages through data losses or service disruptions caused by malicious attacks. However, many software developers lack necessary security knowledge and skills required at the development stage, and Secure Mobile Software Development (SMSD) is not yet well represented in academia and industry. In this paper, we present a static analysis-based security analysis approach through design and implementation of a plugin for Android Development Studio, namely DroidPatrol. The proposed plugins can support developers by providing list of potential vulnerabilities early.

Emails are the fundamental unit of web applications. There is an exponential growth in sending and receiving emails online. However, spam mail has turned into an intense issue in email correspondence condition. There are number of substance based channel systems accessible to be specific content based filter(CBF), picture based sifting and many other systems to channel spam messages. The existing technological solution consists of a combination of porter stemer algorithm(PSA) and k means clustering which is adaptive in nature. These procedures are more expensive in regard of the calculation and system assets as they required the examination of entire spam message and calculation of the entire substance of the server. These are the channels must additionally not powerful in nature life on the grounds that the idea of spam block mail and spamming changes much of the time. We propose a starting point based spam mail-sifting system benefit, which works considering top head notcher data of the mail message paying little respect to the body substance of the mail. It streamlines the system and server execution by increasing the precision, recall and accuracy than the existing methods. To design an effective and efficient of autonomous and efficient spam detection system to improve network performance from unknown privileged user attacks.

Xiao, Kaiming, Zhu, Cheng, Xie, Junjie, Zhou, Yun, Zhu, Xianqiang, Zhang, Weiming.  2018.  Dynamic Defense Strategy against Stealth Malware Propagation in Cyber-Physical Systems. IEEE INFOCOM 2018 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications. :1790–1798.
Stealth malware, a representative tool of advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks, in particular poses an increased threat to cyber-physical systems (CPS). Due to the use of stealthy and evasive techniques (e.g., zero-day exploits, obfuscation techniques), stealth malwares usually render conventional heavyweight countermeasures (e.g., exploits patching, specialized ant-malware program) inapplicable. Light-weight countermeasures (e.g., containment techniques), on the other hand, can help retard the spread of stealth malwares, but the ensuing side effects might violate the primary safety requirement of CPS. Hence, defenders need to find a balance between the gain and loss of deploying light-weight countermeasures. To address this challenge, we model the persistent anti-malware process as a shortest-path tree interdiction (SPTI) Stackelberg game, and safety requirements of CPS are introduced as constraints in the defender's decision model. Specifically, we first propose a static game (SSPTI), and then extend it to a multi-stage dynamic game (DSPTI) to meet the need of real-time decision making. Both games are modelled as bi-level integer programs, and proved to be NP-hard. We then develop a Benders decomposition algorithm to achieve the Stackelberg Equilibrium of SSPTI. Finally, we design a model predictive control strategy to solve DSPTI approximately by sequentially solving an approximation of SSPTI. The extensive simulation results demonstrate that the proposed dynamic defense strategy can achieve a balance between fail-secure ability and fail-safe ability while retarding the stealth malware propagation in CPS.
